I attended a four hour acrylic paint portrait class as a complete beginner. I have some artistic drawing ability but no experience with paints. Tin was an excellent teacher and I soon picked up the basics and managed to produce a good first attempt. It was a friendly and relaxed small class and I'll definitely be going again.

Today I went to the winter landscape acrylic workshop. I’m a movie painter at best but with great advice from Tim I came away with a painting I’m proud of. It was a great atmosphere and everyone was very friendly. The perfect size class means that tin can spend time with everyone making sure you come away with work that you’ll actually want to hang in the wall. 100% recommend

I really enjoyed the Charcoal Portrait workshop, my first art lesson in almost 30 years. Charcoal was a great medium to get back into the swing of things, can’t be too precious with it and it’s easy to correct. After just a few exercises over four hours with some really useful tips, I’m looking forward to having another go at home soon. Tin is really welcoming and encouraging, and the workshop was well structured and presented. I’d definitely recommend it.

I initially took the Acrylic Painting course at Artful Weasels and enjoyed it so much that I returned with my daughter for the Beginners Art Workshops. Tin Stanton, the tutor, is not only friendly and knowledgeable but also incredibly generous with the art materials provided, all included in the already reasonably priced courses. Through my sessions at Artful Weasels, I’ve seen significant growth in my artistic skills and plan to continue learning with them. Tin fosters a welcoming environment that encourages networking with fellow artists, from whom I’ve also gained valuable insights. Artful Weasels is deeply committed to supporting emerging artists through initiatives like art fairs, competitions, and online exhibitions. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to develop their craft.

I have done several courses with Artful Weasels. Each course is well thought out by Tin and staged in such a way that you can confidently create and build confidence in your artistic skills. The courses are well paced and Tin is happy to provide ideas and his knowledge when you get a little stuck. When materials are provided, then they are good quality. Its a lovely way to spend a day, or series of days / evenings learning something new or building on skills that you already have. Money and time well spent. Artful weasels continues to help and inspire my artistic identity.
