My hairdresser of 40 years just moved out of the Bay Area, and I have been worried about finding another stylist who could match her capabilities with my fine-textured, thinning hair, who could create magic volume with graduated layers and feathering on my deep-angled bob style. In recent years, when my stylist was sometimes unavailable, I tried three other highly rated hairdressers in SF who weren't able to do what she was able to, very worrying. But, today I met one who can do it--- Arthur Sebastian. After a gracious welcome and offer of a beverage, he listened intently to my needs and wishes, communicated well during the cut, offering options, checking in. The result---a fabulous haircut, and relief that I had found a new hairdresser to whom I could entrust my locks. Especially if you have fine, thinning hair, like mine, I suggest you give him a try. Someone of his skill is not easy to find.

I found this salon 6 years ago and Arthur is top notch talented. His technique on colors and cut are very detailed like a true artist working on every strand of your hairs. I moved out of state to Florida and have to come back every year to have my hair done by Arthur. A rare find, if you are lucky to book Arthur.

This review is long overdue. I found Arthur through a common friend. My old hairstylist moved to Ireland so I was in the market for a new hairdresser. He is extremely talented and easy to work with. I have short hair but I occasionally grow it and then cut it again. I like trying different styles and Arthur was able to suggest new styles while doing amazing jobs at the cuts. I love his advice and how fabulous my hair looks now.

I’ve been going to Helen for the past four years since she was at YoYo Salon and I honestly can’t imagine trusting anyone else with my hair. Her consistency and skills are unmatched! Super talented, kind, and always has the best vibe in the salon. She always listens to what I want, offers great suggestions, and somehow my hair looks better every single time. She’s truly such a gem and SF is lucky to have her from New York.
