Had an awesome experience! I went to the Matisse class. They had a brief lecture and then had us choose a photo from our phones and paint in Matisse’s style. I liked that there was a little more creative freedom than you’d get in a paint and sip class, but that they still gave guidance. The instructor was awesome and so helpful. I’m a total beginner and still had a blast — I will definitely be coming back!

Matisse meets breakfast! What an incredible experience! I took a Matisse-inspired art class during my visit to D.C. and it was the highlight of the trip. The instructor was insightful, the techniques were fun to try, and I left feeling totally relaxed and creatively charged. If you want a fun, calming, and truly insightful artistic escape, this is the place to go!

Such a cool place! Jackie and Sam were great hosts and teachers, and our group enjoyed our Pollock class. Loved the art lesson in addition to the painting time. The space itself is gorgeous and I can’t wait to come back for another class!

I took my first class at Artsclub DC and it was a blast! I loved the mini art history lesson before. All of the materials had been set out and the instructors provided guidance while leaving room for people to do things their own way. This was a Jackson Pollock class and there were tables and a tarp on the ground if we wanted to get more creative with our splatters. I asked for help mixing a specific color and the instructor mixed something up. I couldn’t believe how much fun it was. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone looking to venture into art!

What a lovely and creative way to spend an early Friday evening! The informative but short lecture at the start of the session is fascinating and inspiring. Then you are able to create an original painting in a comfortable and supportive environment. There is also plenty of educated guidance available from the staff, who all are sincerely passionate about the arts and what they do. My partner and I absolutely loved this and can’t wait to go back and will definitely be recommending to our students, colleagues and friends. This is certainly a hidden treasure in the heart of Dupont and shouldn’t be overlooked! 🌚🎨🌝
