I went into this furniture store last weekend just to look around and ended up really liking the place. The showroom was clean and everything was spaced out so you’re not bumping into chairs and tables. Staff was helpful without following me every second, which I honestly appreciate. Prices seemed fair for the quality, not crazy cheap but not sky high either. I bought a small coffee table and the delivery was on time with no issues. Overall a good experiance and I’d go back again.
What started as a smooth experience quickly became frustrating and exhausting. The constant back-and-forth, scheduling issues, and inconsistent information have made us hesitant to ever buy from Ashley again. We ordered a sectional on Saturday after being told it would be delivered Wednesday. On Tuesday afternoon, we were informed that multiple pieces were backordered. A shipping delay from the LA warehouse would have been understandable, but this was clearly an inventory issue. If inventory isn’t available, it shouldn’t be presented as such. The sales process felt like a car dealership, with heavy pressure to add protection plans. White-glove delivery was automatically added, and it was never made clear whether it was optional or required. To be fair, the furniture itself looked and felt great, and our initial salesperson, Mindie, was genuinely helpful. Customer support only offered a discount after I specifically asked for one. Even then, the promised 5% discount was never applied. After calling again two days later, a discount was finally added—but only 3.84%. Overall, far more time and effort than should ever be required for a single furniture purchase.
The showroom was excellent. The sales person very nice. The product i purchased was available for delivery within some decent time. However, the delivery itself did not go smoothly. On the first attempt I refused the delivery due to damage done by the delivery guys. The company was notified, and replaced the damaged furniture within one week. Again, the delivery did not go well, due to difficulty to get the furniture to my apartment, wouldn't fit in the building elevator. Therefore, they were instructed by the building manager to place it on the floor in the building garage. I had to request the building maintenance guys to disassemble the sofa bed, which they did , and carry it in my apartment separately in two pieces. They successfully completed the task. I had paid $169.99 for white glove delivery. I reserve my right to receive a refund of the delivery charge, which I have communicated and requested. Thank you. Tha
It was a really awful experience. The sales person promised me two day delivery and when I followed up after not receiving a delivery confirmation, they said the item was on backorder and wouldn’t be delivered until January 30. I called and the manager said he would email me confirmation of a 10% discount and a personal message to the warehouse expediting delivery and he did not. I called this morning to follow up because I didn’t receive an email and the person I spoke with had no documentation of the conversation. The supervisor confirmed that the store is known for sales associates promising fast delivery to land the sale. That is so wrong! Especially on a Friday weekend when someone is trying to get a good deal. I missed out on other deals because I made a purchase at Ashley. I stored my old dining set expecting delivery ASAP and now I have an empty dining room. I cannot tell you how frustrating of an experience this has been. I don’t appreciate any part of this ‘customer service’ and am certain Ashley will not have my business again in the future.
