Great place for hidden gems! The prices are very good, I got a 2 TB HDD for 7$, they occasionally have amazing deals but they get snatched quickly, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. And it's a gem for used parts, they even sell full laptops, workstations, and gaming setups for very reasonable prices.

I can’t recommend Geeks Candy Shop enough! I recently purchased a refurbished ThinkPad, and it’s as good as new. What can I say about Geeks Candy Shop.....This is the best place in San Diego to pick up surplus/used Computers, Tablets, and parts!!!!! The customer service is outstanding and they bend over backwards to take care of you. I went in looking to build a home NAS and we decided on an older Dell Power Edge tower machine. We loaded it up with additional ram, hard drives, and an ssd boot drive. They tested and fought with it to get make sure everything was detected in the bios (the whole process took about 1.5 hours) and I went home with my new to me machine. Unfortunately when I got home and tried installing Truenas Core it kept hanging up during the install process (I even tried using Unraid and still no luck). The next day I gave them a call and was told to bring it back in. I got there a little after 4pm (they close at 5pm) and we proceeded to look for another machine that would fit my needs. After trying out a few options we ended up putting together a custom setup out of the parts they had in stock. They stayed open 40 minutes late to make sure I was taken care of and even gave me a discount on the upgrades. If you are in need of an affordable PC, Tablet, or just need to grab some parts to build or upgrade your existing computer......Geeks Candy Shop is the best place in town to go!!!!!!!

Wow, this place is awesome for the enthusiast. Definitely felt like a “kid in a candy store.” I’m pretty frugal when it comes to my budget builds and I’m familiar with the Goodwill tech store in OC and the USD Tech recycling center. This place is super organized compared with the other two and has a lot of nicely priced budget machines for those just “looking to web browse.” There was a young gentleman working the day I went and he was super down to earth and very helpful with me tech questions. Anyone who watched the LTT episode of junkyard wars and liked it will love coming to this store. Didn’t really need anything, but I drove down from OC to check it out and bought some stuff anyway.

I am so happy I found this shop! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I am a teacher and needed an additional monitor to make my job so much easier. I had so many questions and really had no idea on how this would go about, but I came in and all my questions were answered. Everything on how to set up, cables, and instructions were given to me. I got a monitor in good condition, works great, VGA cable, and power cable all for $25! There is also other accessories if I would have known prior that you can purchase for a cheaper cost than what I had already purchased elsewhere. Overall, you can't beat the cost and knowledgeable staff that guided me through this. Thank you so much! I am so excited to have found this shop and you all just made my job so much easier. Truly appreciate it!
