I started to see Carol at Aura Salon because I couldn’t deal with my last stylist canceling last minute or delaying me for hours. I was nervous at first but Carol made me feel incredibly welcomed and took the time to converse with me to get to know me and what my goals were for my hair color and style. I am incredibly indecisive so I’ve changed my hair at least 13 times now in the last few years ranging anywhere from super long bleach blonde to a short bob length dark brown and then adding high lights and low lights which have all been within a minutes notice most time. I love this salon because of the laid back yet, clean and classy environment, and especially because of all of the hard working stylists there who work incredibly well as a team. So thank you Carol for taking me as a client, my hair went from sad, dry and brittle to healthy and happy. Now it grows so fast! Also, I sent and inspo picture and it was spot on! You go girl!!! I have finally found my forever stylist!

These are the worst layers I’ve ever gotten, by Carol. Nothing the photos can’t show for themselves. Who cuts layers to be long in the front and short in the back?? .. Everything was choppy and looked ridiculous. Maybe would have been better if she was focused on cutting hair and not reading text messages. I tried going back to the salon to get it fixed and was greeted with passive aggressiveness. I was gentle with my request to have it redone but that was clearly taken as an insult. Carol took a look at my cut and had no idea what was wrong with it, said it was “crazy because everything looks even”, and took scissors to trim a cm off on one side before asking if it looked fixed. Um? I left and went to a different salon to get this fixed and immediately the stylist saw how boxy the layers were. Said it was like a bowl cut going around my head, sitting on top of a longer chunk of hair. Wish I could have asked for a refund for this $80 cut but there’s no way that would have been responded to empathetically. Edit: I did receive a refund, thank you to the owner, I appreciate the help

Decided to get a haircut on a whim today as I only cut my hair about once a year, and I'm so glad I did. I booked with Robert and had the best experience from start to finish. The wash was great, he cut my hair exactly how I wanted with keeping my natural curls in mind and did a full straightened style all in under an hour! His 30 years experience shine through in everything he does and he created such a welcoming environment for a first time customer. I've never left a salon feeling and looking as great as I did today and will 100% book with Robert again in the future.
