I would highly recommend Austin Air Conditioning. They are very reliable and trustworthy. Their technicians know what they’re doing. They communicate well and making sure everything works. Chino Moncada came to inspect our house for a quality inspection after the full Heating and A/C installation done. He is really good and explained well. He recommended an electrician for us install the electrical outside breaker.
My heating unit went down called Austin Air as they were the preferred company based off the home builder. Upon arrival, Mauricio Lugo introduced himself in a respectful way, in return I informed him of the issue and troubleshooting that was conducted as a user. He then proceeded to troubleshoot himself and once he went into the attic to check the unit he noticed the fault quickly on the display. Mauricio not only diagnosed the issue very quickly, he was very knowledgeable of the system and was able to answer and questions I had. Overall great service, I would recommend this company based off today's interaction with the service technician!
Chino, Omar, and Arturo were absolutely fantastic! We could not be more pleased with the installation. Omar and Auturo were fast, professional, and kept an absolutely clean workspace. Chino went above and beyond in explaining how to use the new thermostat app and everything we needed to know about our new system. Would highly recommend Austin Air Conditioning… especially the crew that installed us.
Updated review 9/5/2025: Austin Air convinced me that I needed to completely replace my ac unit and ductwork in order to improve the air quality in my home, even though my old unit worked great. On June 28th, they did this and I have not had a properly functioning AC unit since then with temperatures often not dropping below 79 degrees during the day even if it’s set at 70, the humidity levels have been close to 80% constantly every day, and the air quality has gotten far worse. I have been trying to work with them to fix this and I have been treated like I am the problem instead of the awful system they installed. I have developed health problems, including daily fevers, ever since they “updated” everything and I now have signs of significant moisture/humidity damage occurring in my house. They broke the ladder to my attic (pictured) and Nick, the manager, is falsely denying it was them when they were the only people to use it. My electricity bills doubled after they installed the new system and the unit seemed to run almost constantly even though it obviously has not been working. Austin Air has been aware of all of this. And instead of having the integrity to make it a priority to resolve these issues, they have overall been very rude and dismissive. Yesterday, another technician came out to perform a “fix” that just made things worse. So another technician came out at night and discovered that they never connected the duct to my living room vent. (I appreciate this technician). For the last two and a half months, I have essentially had a hole in my ceiling into the attic. I have been paying to cool my attic and simultaneously blow all the humidity, dust, insulation particles, etc. from the attic into my home. No wonder I have gotten so sick. This company has damaged my health, my home, and my finances and has been treating me like I’m the problem when it has been the terrible hvac system they installed the whole time. I have given them so many chances to make this right and have tried to be understanding while working with them. I hate leaving a negative review for anyone but it has taken two and a half months of a continuous unbelievably bad experience with this company and significant ramifications that I’m suffering for me to conclude that others really need to be warned. Maybe Austin Air was good in the past but they definitely aren’t now. I left them a great review when I first started working with them and I really wish they had not put me in this relative nightmare of a situation that has led me to delete that one and write this one instead.
Apparently they know nothing about AC’s, they don't take their time, they Dont care, if the AC is not falling apart or a difference of 4 degrees or more they can't help you. So I have a brand new AC not even 2 weeks old that was installed by them and its been between 76 and 77 degrees here 6-7 times in the evening between 4:30 pm and 8:00 when the sun is above and moving west. Its like a sauna, I've dealt with this being patient. They come out two days later after I finally reported the problem and tell me it is working fine. I showed the tech 6-7 pictures I took of the past week during that time frame I stated its the hottest proving there is a problem and that today is a fluke because its not hot outside. Its (77) outside. They said they can't do anything cuz its working. If you do not know how to figure out what the issue is without having the AC broken, (replace it) is apparently the only thing they know how to do but they can't even do that right. The original problem was my AC was leaking everywhere. They could not fix it, so they replace a brand new Ac unit less than 8 months old. And now their replacement has me hot 6-7 days out of the past 10-14. Update: the man put it to 70 when he got here, cuz I had it at 74, then before he left he put it at 72 to be within 3 degrees which is aloud by his company. If he would have left it at 70 would he be here having to use his brain?
