In a very short period of time I feel like I've started to get my life back and I recognize myself again most days. I have been seeing Dr. Vince for upper cervical adjustments and I am hypermobile. I told Crystal I wanted to take some time to write this review when I had a moment to reflect so here we go! I am 32yo and one fine day in Sept of 2024 I woke up and couldn't use my left arm due to TOS. I declined rapidly and by Dec 2024 I was seriously considering disability because I could no longer function for even basic tasks (because migraines, excruciating daily pain, among many others). I have been in PT without interruption since Sept 2024, seen a circus of specialists, and had many treatments to try to regain function over prioritizing pain reduction (I'm told I have 2-5 yrs for recovery). Steadily, I climbed, and daily pain reduced with PT, posture improvement, and my migraines decreased in frequency/duration but remained a consistent but unpredictable problem. I struggled with sleep longer than 5-6 hours and my outlook towards my future/career was uncertain. I learned about UCC via online support groups for hypermobility and knew I wanted to try it but didn't have the actual time/space to get to it in the first year. Sept 2025 marked 1 yr with at least 50% improvement QOL. I started treatment with ACL in Nov 2025 and after the very first treatment my life changed and my boyfriend confirms. I had the best sleep of my life that first night, my scoliosis symptoms basically rebalanced (it's wild), migraines have decreased enough that I can go without wearing my avulux migraine glasses for hours at a time, my energy is higher, I've discontinued some previous daily meds, and I've been able to make headway with PT (graduated down to 1x/mo!) too because I can activate the suddenly rebalanced weak muscles. My sense of TASTE even changed! I can even hear more clearly out of my right ear and driving is getting less painful daily. Sounds odd to say this - but my hope for my future has been gently restored in a way that gives me chills. I've begun rescheduling other doctor appointments for 2026 because I have so much faith and confidence that I will be 100x better by then and sort of want to be able to show off the changes!! The office staff and Dr Vince have had tremendous patience with me during grumpy/flare days and when I'm in pain I can be quite cold. They meet me with warmth and a sense of comfort even then because the culture they cultivate is one of peace, kindness, and hope. If anything I've shared sounds familiar to you - I encourage you to try it out. Take it from someone who has seen 17 different doctors without much change. The doctors at ACL are where the magic happens.
