I am so grateful for the wonderful employees at Austin Strings!!! They made a very stressful experience stress free. Lori did an amazing job helping me understand the different options for my repair and helped me choose the one that was right for me. She even rushed it because I am moving out of the area soon. Timmy and Sam were also amazing! They walked me through everything I needed to do to put the strings back on when it had set, answered all my questions, and were super helpful and kind! Thank ya'll so much!!!
I take guitar lessons with Randall Ward- he is warm and kind and so patient- he’s been more than just a teacher but also has helped me work through a lot of the insecurity around playing and finding the courage to pursue things beyond what I thought possible. The staff I’ve met has also been just amazingly kind and welcoming. Such a great place and i recommend them to all my friends!
I wanted to fall in love and i did. I tried out atleast 10 violins with many more bow combinations and was given extensive history and insight to the building and repair process for these magnificent instruments. I settled on a violin from 1952 nicknamed the "pirate King violin" and it was paired with a beautiful old case that matched the asthetic perfectly which i got for a steal. They even allowed me to rent it out for free to get better acquainted. I purchased my previous violin at arts and music and was left wanting. The customer service at Austin strings is second to none and it's hard not to walk out with a smile on your face. If I could give them 6 stars I would, don't waste your time at other shops. Go to Austin strings first.
Derick, Breanna, Michelle quickly worked to fulfill my multiple requests. The environment was so fun and friendly! 100% would recommend visiting here. Props to Derick for adjusting the sound post, and doing a tonal adjustment & hard string replacement.
I came here to get a violin restrung and bow rehaired after my parents found my old childhood violin. I had no idea what to expect since I stopped playing a long time ago, but Russell and Derek were so helpful! I was completely out of my element, but they explained everything patiently and I felt so welcomed and at ease after talking to them. When I said that a friend was going to use the violin to help her little sister practice, Russell mentioned that they have bright colors for bow hair! I chose purple hair and was so excited even though I'm not even the one playing the violin. I wish it had been an option back when I played!
