This used to be my favorite place to shop at when i first moved to tampa, but it’s really gone downhill. the biggest issue imo is the fact that they don’t take plus size women’s clothes, nor include any plus size items in their sales. i have checked their website and policies MULTIPLE times in regards to selling to them and i have literally seen with my own eyes, them giving people who are men and/or not plus size way more money and taking more clothes from them. I have never in my life brought in something broken, or “out of style”, in fact i would say my clothes are on the trendy side. but whenever someone other than a plus size person donates clothes, they will take it even if it’s in poor condition or just downright against everything their website claims to take. also the staff the last few months have been rude on multiple occasions, making it feel very akward to shop in there. i have asked in the past for them to explain to me why my items weren’t “sellable” and they wouldn’t give me a straight answer. really sucks how this place turned out, hopefully they get it together.
Really cute store! I found a 100% cotton Madewell dress for $15 and a J Crew dress for $15. Brand new Nikes for under $20! A neighboring thrift store had a similar shoe for $64! Avalon’s prices are so competitive. Super cute stuff. A lot of fun. I was here years ago and wasn’t impressed, something definitely changed for the better. New management? Idk but the selection is better and the prices are pretty good. Update: I’ve been a seller and a buyer and they don’t offer a lot BUT their prices are amazing. This is my favorite thrift store in Tampa right now. My kids actually love this store too because of the cute hello kitty, jellycat, stickers, and just quirky items. They have a mix of super high end like Jimmy Choo and basic brands like American eagle. Keep being awesome Avalon!
Avalon was my favorite store for four years, over the past year, the store has gone extremely down hill. The clothes now lack style, the new-ish female manager lacks a pleasant personality, the atmosphere has changed significantly, and shopping at Avalon is no longer what it used to be. It's truly a shame but because of this I will no longer be shopping at Avalon. I hope the store considers improving management and customer experience.
Avalon Exchange is now on my top list of upscale thrift/ boutique stores. It’s trendy but still fun and there’s a ton of stuff in here. Sunglasses, jeans, athletic wear, dresses, graphic tees, jewelry and much more. I found a couple pairs of Zara jeans, which usually run at least $60-$80 regularly, for *$10.50* a piece! They have some crazy good deals here. If you are a brand name person you definitely want to stop in here. Their clothing racks are labeled, and they even have one labeled “designer”. There are tons of sneakers and other goodies as well. I got the coolest watch ring from here and get so many compliments whenever I wear it- for $6! I was a little disappointed in their graphic tee selection, as someone who loves a good tshirt with cool or goofy design. Their selection seemed weird and even taking the time to go through them I couldn’t find any worth snatching up. This is unusual even at a regular thrift store. My other small complaint would just be the workers- none of them were friendly or approachable, it seemed they were all on the same vibe in that way. But overall I’ll definitely be coming back here to find some more good at really reasonable prices.
Very cool secondhand clothing shop experience. Parking is in the back as it's on a main road. Great selection for small to average sizes. Tall, curvy, or plus sized women won't find much here. Not many purses, wallets, belts, or shoes as they focus mainly on clothing. They have a designer rack which is very nice that's it's separate. Fitting rooms ARE open for use (surprisingly some places are not still due to COVID). Cute place and I plan to return next time I'm in Tampa.

Trendy thrift finds and designer deals at unbeatable prices.
