This was my first time trying this spot and I was excited to try it after looking at their reviews. However I did not have a pleasant experience and was rather disappointed. I ordered a 2 meat plate and ordered tri-tip and chicken. In my opinion, I found the appearance of the chicken unappealing and did not like the taste either. I’m not saying the chicken was undercooked but I didn’t want to continue eating something I wasn’t going to enjoy or feel satisfied. I talked to one of the employees and she didn’t do much help. She told me the cook wasn’t going to exchange the chicken and if I wanted a different meat then it was going to be an up charge. I was honestly surprised by their response, I’ve never been to a place that doesn’t remake or offer to make a difference in your food if you didn’t quite enjoy it. Overall wouldn’t come back based off experience and wouldn’t recommend the chicken based off appearance and lack of seasoning.

Great service, great people, great portions, at a great price. Grabbed me a three meat plate of Brisket, Ribs, and Pulled Pork. Hella good and the meat came right off the rib. Hella delicious. A must try spot if in the area or if driving by. The unlimited sauce with loads of bread was well appreciated. Thank you. A must stop to try kind of place.

I stopped by because I had been at the Bakersfield Art Museum. I figured okay, I'll try it. OMG!! I've eaten BBQ all over the states and this is definitely some of the best ove had!!! Absolutely everything was delicious. I got the Mo' Meat w/2 sides bc I couldn't decide. So. Much. Food. I've eaten it for 3 meals now. It was so worth it. I ordered pulled pork, brisket, the crack and onion rings. When it doubt go for the all-stars. Did not disappoint. What made it even better was the Jack of all trades gal up front...Hope. She gave excellent service and recommendations. She also kept me company since I was traveling alone. I'll definitely go there again next time I'm in Bakersfield.

This is one of my favorite barbecue places, I usually get their two items plate with brisket && the ribs that fall off the bone but today I finally got to try one of their Friday Burger Specials. I'm so glad I did because this burger was so delicious, &juicy. "They took snakeriverfarms gold brisket and ground it to make their famous 10 oz monster patties. Which they topped it with some bourbon caramelized onions, a bone marrow compound butter, smoked bacon then topped with havarti cheese. All on a butter toasted brioche bun with a Dijon garlic aioli." && It did not disappoint. The sides were tasty, absolutely loved the creamy Mac&cheese and the fresh hush puppies. Definitely will order their fried pickles again. Everyone was so friendly. From the girl working the register to the cooks at the grill where we got the burger. Denise was an amazing help and brought us boxes because we couldn't finish everything & despite it being busy non stop the employees were on top on everything. Can't wait to go back. Thank you for a great Friday lunch.

We came by at about 3pm on a Sunday and half their menu was already sold out. Therefore, I can't give food a high score. The service was great as I had a good allergy concern. Our wait in line was 10-15 minutes then the food wait was about another 20 minutes. The beef was delicious and so was the mac and cheese. My potato salad was not as much potato as I'd hoped but it was like my mom's recipe so I appreciated it. We ate outdoors as inside was crowded. The neighborhood wind had a bad smell to it and because it was a hot day, the flies tried to take over our food. Utensils and 4 homemade sauces are serve-yourself which was nice because you could take the perfect amount depending on your flavor preference. Staff was hard working and I would come back here again, but earlier in the day.
