I love the apple pie. For only $25 you could have the experience of a life time. Walking into Bakery on O'Connell our hopes were high, but we soon found our expectations shattered in the best way possible, as we peeked through the cabinet, it caught our eyes... the apple pie. Upon ordering the apple pie we noticed that it was rather cold after cutting ourselves a slice and taking a bite. This left us with the conundrum of weather to bother the lovely people at the counter and request the pie to be warmed. When proposing this request we were surprised to be offered the heating service for only $5 extra, and a 30 minute wait, which was accompanied by a lovely chat with friends. As we waited we were surprised to receive a complimentary hot drink voucher which we redeemed with no trouble, marking the incredible service you find at Bakery on O'Connell. After our wait, the pie was hand delivered to us and was better than we could have expected. All in all this was a great experience, with great food, and quality time with friends

The drinks and foods are reasonable. A coffee in mug is $5.90 and English Breakfast is $4.20. There aren't many cafes which are open for 24 hours. A good place for coffee with friends late in the afternoon.

We came across this bakery while traveling for Metallica concert , we had it first for late lunch , then dinner , then breakfast, then before we fly back, we came for last bite because it was sooooo good so flavorful, tried the pie of the month , steak with mushrooms, steak with pepper , chicken pie , lam ….. everything is tasty, will come back for this when we are in town next time!

My first visit to Bakery on O'Connell was two months ago when I accompanied my daughter's visiting to Women's and Children's Hospital. I bought a few pieces of cakes / doughnuts as she said she was hungry. The cakes and doughnuts were all very good, though they were not cheap. Surprisingly, I was made known for myself during my first visit that this bakery opens 24/7. As a newcomer who has only recently arrived in Adelaide, this finding was really exciting as 24/7 restaurants are not something common, even in big capital cities like Sydney or Melbourne. As far as I know, except those fast food chains, only a few 24/7 restaurants are available: Sydney: City Extra @ Circular Quay Melbourne: Walkers Doughnuts @ Flinders Street Station and Chapelli's @ Chapel Street Really happy to see this little quiet city also has 24/7 restaurant like Bakery on O'Connell. Recently, it came to my awareness of two other bakeries, which open 24/7 (i.e. Norwood and Mile End). With these 24/7 restaurants, plus those fast food chains restaurants, I would say their hard works have made this city more livable. Thank you Bakery on O'Connell. I will definitely visit you guys in the mid-night someday later and see if you guys are really working hard like what your website said. See you soon!
