We were super happy to get our pictures done, we got good feedback as to what to do and we were able to get all the pictures done pretty quick and received our pictures the same day
My best friend, goddaughter and I visited the studio last night for a session. Jayson’s attention to detail, professionalism, and caring nature made the experience very unique. It is clear he enjoys what he does and is excellent at it. He made sure we all felt comfortable in our outfits and wanted our input for ideas as well. The pictures came out fantastic and hilarious!!! It was truly a great experience with lots of laughs and we will definitely be returning. 10/10!!!

WOW! I took my dad here for his birthday for an old time-y photo shoot with the family and Jayson made our experience absolutely perfect! We were a walk-in, so we weren't sure if we would even be able to get our photos taken today, but Jayson was so welcoming and got us in right away. I personally was feeling a little bit "decision-fatigued" because there were so many amazing clothing options to choose from - and I mean so so many! Jason showed us the long dresses, the short dresses, the flapper-style dresses, the long skirts that pair well with corsets, the prairie style/conservative dresses, the blouses, the hats, the trousers, the coats, etc. I could keep going, oh my gosh the choices were plentiful and diverse. I loved it. Jayson helped me pick out the perfect three piece outfit to match with my parents, and he helped them pick out some amazing pieces too. He made us look so dang good! Now onto the photoshoot itself - couldn't have been better. He helped us loosen up, so we weren't so stiff, he was funny, he was great with his directions, and he was amazing at explaining what he was doing/what the camera would pick up. He gave us a few pose ideas to start us off, and then after that we were on a roll! He gave us some excellent props and showed us how to hold them so they'd look good in the pictures, and he even gave us a little backstory so we could fully get into character. He never once made us feel rushed, he was so kind and funny, I'm so glad we came! I will 1000000% be recommending this place, and Jayson, to all of my friends and family. He made the whole experience worth it and definitely this has convinced me to come back with my partner, and my dog and all my friends for different photoshoots. Literally! I liked it that much, I really can't recommend it enough! P.S. He also offers other types of photo sessions! I asked and he said he also does boudoir photoshoots, maternity photoshoots and more! I'm so excited to come back, and I love that there are more options than just "old-timey", I really want to bring my dog and get some regular pictures done with her!
Jayson was truly amazing helping all 9 of us pick and adjust costumes and pose for the best family photos we have ever taken together. We had a great time and would highly recommend Barking Iron for professional old time photo shoots. Jayson puts so much time and attention to detail into what he does and it’s obvious he enjoys what he does! Thanks again! Our Christmas cards are going to be lit this year. 🔥 ❤️
