Awesome experience. Staff was great with knowledge of where plants were located and growth rate! Prices were reasonable given their size. Multiple size options for each plant.

My fiancé and I bought two items from Bates and one is already dying after a week of following the instructions very carefully. The other plant is completely healthy. Bates said it was our fault although our other plant is healthy as can be. Their warranty allegedly doesn’t cover this for a replacement… do not recommend.

Do not buy from this nursery - we spent $350 on plants and specifically told them the plants would not go in the ground for 5-7 days we were told the plants will survive for over a YEAR with NO PROBLEM in the planters they are currently in. We had these in the shade with part sun as they are full/part sun plants per their instructions 3 days later we watered every single day and we went back and they said their warranty was only for when you put the plants in the ground right away??? Plants died right away it’s literally sickening that they would treat a partner like this that would spend this much after they told us not to worry about not planting right away.

We love this place. There is such a large variety of plants (not pictured) and trees. The employees were very knowledgeable. We were also impressed with the amount of mature trees they had (not pictured).

Had to replace my shrubs that died over the winter in sub zero temperatures. Bates Nursery has a large selection and lots of employees ready to give advice and assist. I traveled across town because of the quality and selection available. Highly recommend this nursery. Worth my drive and time.
