I needed a beard trim and didn’t have anywhere to go at the moment. I had heard about Beards and Beers and had seen them on social media before, so I decided to check out their reviews. After going in myself, I honestly don’t understand the bad reviews at all. I walked in without an appointment and they still took me in. Cameron asked what I was looking for, I explained it, and he trimmed my beard exactly how I wanted it. Super professional and easy experience. I’ll definitely be going back—next time with an appointment. Thanks again, Cameron!
I went in to get a beard trim today, a friend told me to ask for Cameron. I have to say he is a pretty cool guy. He asked a few questions to understand what I was looking for and made my beard look amazing! I left happy, when I got home my wife loved it also..
Haven't been here in over a year since my barber left, but decided to come back as I needed a trim. After today's visit I realized why I haven't been back. I was supposed to get a beard trim and 1/2 razor shave. First off the woman trimmed my beard shorter than I liked. I needed it to be trimmed, not shorter. Second they put a steam towel on my face that was super hot. Didn't even ask if it was ok. After a couple minutes she did finally ask if it was too hot. Then when it was time to use a straight razor, she used a straight razor at first, but then used an electric razor to finish the job. Also she had to keep using other barbers equipment as either hers wasnt working or wasn't charged. When i got home and did a closer inspection, I found places that were missed. Found uneven lines. Overall not clean. I may have to go someplace else just to fix it. The only reason why I have one star was the barber was nice and the friendly dog that was inside. Responding to the reply: The reason why I tipped $10 was I know people who work in the industry and most of their wages is from tips and their time. Also in their statement they said they talk about shaving against the grain, but then say they don't. Doesn't make sense. As for waiting 4 days before leaving a review, my appointment was on a Saturday. I did actually tried calling and even emailed on Monday, but never heard back. Lastly reading the response from the business on my review and past reviews , it now makes sense why most of the barbers left. I will not be back
TLDR - Don't schedule appointments with Melissa. I have been here three times now. The first two visits were with a different lady who was not available today. While expensive, both those visits were good experiences. The location's hours of operation means needing to take PTO for me to get there before they close. I arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment, which was scheduled for 3:30pm. The other guy in the shop cutting hair said the lady my appointment was with, Melissa, had stepped out a few minutes ago and should be back any minute. Cool, no problem, still have time before my scheduled appointment. 45 minutes later, the other guy comes back and says he finally heard from her, she was stuck in traffic, and wasn't sure when she would be there. Not wanting to waste anymore of my PTO, I left. Frustrating waste of time. If you were operating on walk-ins only, I'd understand maybe not having a barber available, but for an appointment thats been scheduled and you know someone will be there, expecting you to be there; it's rude and disrespectful of the clients time for her to not be there. Credit to the other guy, I didn't get his name, for being very apologetic, but it doesn't change the outcome of the visit.
This is an awesome place to get a cut or any face, or hair service. Took my oldest son and they did a wonderful job making him and myself feel confident and comfortable. The industrial style spin on an old school barber style is a really neat interior design and it plays into the whole "bro" theme. Charles is the man that did my sons cut and eyebrows. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a barber.
