Honestly, saying I'm mortified of what this place has become doesn't even cover it. I've been coming here for 7 or 8 years now (2-3x per year) and have never had a single issue or complaint. There's a reason I've been coming back for almost a decade despite them being a little pricier. My last visit was a little over a year ago, and I was finally able to get back in here a few days ago after a year of medical issues and spine surgery, and I genuinely don't think I'll ever be back. They used to have an extremely talented and cohesive team here, ALWAYS. There was never a dull moment, no awkward silences, friendly banter (as expected in most barber shops), etc. -- genuinely some of the best barbershop experiences I've had. It was always WELL worth the slightly inflated prices, just for the atmosphere alone. Looking on their website at the time of writing this review, it looks like there are now three team members there, but even just a few days ago there were only two staff listed online. When I walked in, one of them was messing with two large dogs on a NASTY ass dog bed (it very clearly hadn't been washed anytime recently, and was matted with dog hair corner-to-corner) only about 2-3 feet from her chair, with a client actively mid-haircut sitting there. Her hands went from her client's head, to the dogs, back to her client's head - more than once. Now I know she wasn't handling MY hair, but this is just wrong. You don't know if anyone has any allergies and you're out here putting your nasty unwashed dog-hands all up in someone's face and in their hair (In this instance, she never cleaned her hands AT ALL after messing with the dogs, which makes me wonder what all else she does throughout the day without doing so - keep in mind, if someone even wanted to do the absolute bare minimum, there is hand sanitizer at EVERY SINGLE BARBER CHAIR. THERE'S LIKE 10 BOTTLES TO PUMP WITHIN A 5-SECOND WALK). Hell, the dogs shouldn't even be in the damn shop in the first place - it breaks practically every State and Federal Sanitation Standard AND it's wildly against health code. I have gotten the same work done every single time I've been here, like it's written in stone: "Shorten up the top. Shorten over the ears even more. Clean up my face and line me up." I've always been charged ~$50-60, never more, for this haircut and shave combo, which was incredible since it included a hair-wash, hot towel, straight-razor shave + line-up, and a quick styling at the end to look clean out the door. My standard tip was ~$30-40 minimum due to the atmosphere, conversation, and quality of work. THIS visit however, the same exact combo is now priced at $85, which is already an insane price jump, but inflation is real and nothing is cheap anymore - what's new? The REAL problem? I was in and out in less than 30 minutes (this was usually an enjoyable ~1.5-hour commitment), my barber basically just used a razor (the same guard) for my entire head (facial hair included), spent about 5 minutes with clippers, and sent me out the door. No wash, towel, straight-razor, style, nothing. It was just "Sit, Razor, Clippers for 5 mins, Pay, Leave." For $85... When I asked about what happened to everything that used to be part of the package, I was told that they don't do any of that anymore, even though their website says it still includes everything it used to (See pictures), meaning either their website is wildly inaccurate (Can't possibly be this since they're actively updating their staff list) and/or services are mispriced, or he lied straight to my face just to get out of doing the requested work, while still expecting a tip. Not to mention, after I got home and showered, I could see just how badly he botched my hair (being refused a wash this visit, I couldn't see my wet hair prior to leaving, like normal) I paid $85 for a botched $10 haircut (and that's still being generous) I could teach my nephew to replicate. Do NOT give this place your money. PLEASE.

I needed a beard trim and didn’t have anywhere to go at the moment. I had heard about Beards and Beers and had seen them on social media before, so I decided to check out their reviews. After going in myself, I honestly don’t understand the bad reviews at all. I walked in without an appointment and they still took me in. Cameron asked what I was looking for, I explained it, and he trimmed my beard exactly how I wanted it. Super professional and easy experience. I’ll definitely be going back—next time with an appointment. Thanks again, Cameron!

I went in to get a beard trim today, a friend told me to ask for Cameron. I have to say he is a pretty cool guy. He asked a few questions to understand what I was looking for and made my beard look amazing! I left happy, when I got home my wife loved it also..

Haven't been here in over a year since my barber left, but decided to come back as I needed a trim. After today's visit I realized why I haven't been back. I was supposed to get a beard trim and 1/2 razor shave. First off the woman trimmed my beard shorter than I liked. I needed it to be trimmed, not shorter. Second they put a steam towel on my face that was super hot. Didn't even ask if it was ok. After a couple minutes she did finally ask if it was too hot. Then when it was time to use a straight razor, she used a straight razor at first, but then used an electric razor to finish the job. Also she had to keep using other barbers equipment as either hers wasnt working or wasn't charged. When i got home and did a closer inspection, I found places that were missed. Found uneven lines. Overall not clean. I may have to go someplace else just to fix it. The only reason why I have one star was the barber was nice and the friendly dog that was inside. Responding to the reply: The reason why I tipped $10 was I know people who work in the industry and most of their wages is from tips and their time. Also in their statement they said they talk about shaving against the grain, but then say they don't. Doesn't make sense. As for waiting 4 days before leaving a review, my appointment was on a Saturday. I did actually tried calling and even emailed on Monday, but never heard back. Lastly reading the response from the business on my review and past reviews , it now makes sense why most of the barbers left. I will not be back
