Ryuji was fantastic. I got my ERAS residency application headshot done with him and the experience was smooth, professional, and efficient from start to finish. He’s excellent behind the camera -- gave clear direction, made me feel comfortable, and helped me choose the best shot. Turnaround was quick and the final photo looked polished and natural. Highly recommend!

I'm a scientist in drug discovery, but maybe just as importantly someone who has always deeply appreciated portrait photography. I had been searching for someone in Boston who did corporate headshots, but captured the humanity of their subjects - and when I saw Ryuji's portfolio (especially the character portraits, which we did in the same session as the corporate headshot) it was quite clear that this would be a fit. The experience of setting up and executing the shoot was fantastic, Ryuji was very professional but totally relaxed. From the first few seconds of the consultation call and from there on out he was focused on trying to get a sense of who I was and what I really wanted from this. His process during the shoot was great, it never felt like we were on a timer and the conversation that veered from vintage typewriters to perfect Silver Halide crystal nucleation facilitated capurting that reality that I was seeking in the final picture. In the end, process is fun, but results are what people seek so if you're interested in Ryuji, I think his work speaks for itself.

I needed some refreshed corporate headshots with a little more “personality” and wanted the polar opposite of the AI-generated crap you see all over LinkedIn. I explained the aspiration to Ryuji - he understood immediately and really delivered! The experience beginning-to-end was seamless. I felt well prepared every step of the way, and Ryuji was knowledgeable and prescriptive while still being very collaborative throughout the process.
