Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery is by far my favorite place to visit when I’m in Nashville. I’ve been here multiple times, and it’s just as beautiful every visit. The grounds are peaceful and well maintained, the historic buildings are fascinating to explore, and the experience never feels rushed or overly commercial. Touring the mansion and walking the property makes the history feel accessible and meaningful. The winery is a great bonus and makes it easy to slow down and enjoy your time here. If you’re looking for a quieter, more scenic experience outside of downtown Nashville, this is an absolute must-visit.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must-Visit in Nashville! I had such an incredible experience at Belle Meade Winery and Historic Home in Nashville! The combination of rich history, beautiful grounds, and delicious wine made it the perfect stop during my trip. The historic home tour was fascinating—so much detail, storytelling, and preserved beauty from the past. You can truly feel the history as you walk through each room. The wine tasting was a highlight! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience fun even for casual wine drinkers. Every pour was unique, and the wines were absolutely delicious. The grounds themselves are stunning—peaceful, beautifully maintained, and perfect for photos or just strolling around. I loved that there’s also a quaint little coffee shop on-site, which was such a cozy spot to unwind after exploring. Another bonus: it’s super close to downtown Nashville, making it an easy and convenient outing. I would absolutely recommend Belle Meade to anyone visiting the area. A must-do experience! 🍷🌿🏛️💛

We visited the Belle Meade Historic Site and Winery. We took the tour through the mansion with a very knowledgeable guide. He gave us a lot of historical facts about each generation. The free wine tasting was also enjoyable and we ended up buying 4 bottles of wine to take home. There is also a candy counter inside the winery. The gift shop was exceptional with high quality items and souvenirs.

What a great day at Belle Meade! We took the mansion tour, the Journey tour and experienced the wine, bourbon and food pairing. Loved it all, very friendly tour guides walked us through fascinating family history and tasting/food pairing was so worth it. We also enjoyed the acoustic performer/singer under the beautiful magnolias trees in the wine garden. And of course couldn’t resist the ice cream cafe. Just a wonderful time so close to Nashville!

My visit to Belle Meade was overall very enjoyable. The mansion tour was very informative—our guide spoke well and shared a lot of interesting history about the Jackson / Harding family. That said, I wouldn’t recommend it for families with young children. Since most of the furniture are originals, there’s nowhere to sit. During our tour, there were two young kids in the group: a baby who cried often and a toddler who whined and constantly asked about sitting down. As each room was very small, it made it difficult for the group to hear the tour guide and fully enjoy the tour. Outside of the mansion, the grounds were fun to explore and the horses act as a nice backdrop. While you can’t take photos inside the mansion, there are plenty of nice photo spots outside. The highlight for me was the wine tasting included with the mansion tour. The wines leaned on the sweeter side, but they were all unique and enjoyable to try.
