I am new to the country to attend a very intense program and decided to give boxing a try to help me balance school and life better. I would say what I have received far exceeds expectation! Not only have I learned a lot about boxing, the uplifting vibes at the club has played a crucial role in powering me through the stress of the program. I have made it a routine to attend the beginners' class two times a week, and going to the boxing classes have become what I look forward to the most for the week. The coaches and staff are extremely accessible and supportive, while really knowing what they are doing. I had zero experience when I started, and for the first couple of classes I could not help but feel I was the "idiot" in class. I went to share how I felt with coach Jack and he responded with such support and encouragement that I left self-doubt behind(And what happened is that I have continued to improve and I have actually improved so much that I feel surprised and proud of myself!). I have really enjoyed the beginners class led by coach Jack who is a great coach for being very detail-oriented. I have also learned a lot from coach Marc and coach Sam! Last but not the least, Nas at the reception is also super friendly and helpful. :) I would highly recommend this boxing club. No matter what you are looking for and regardless of your fitness level, I believe you will find home in the community here! :) :) :)
My son, Gyuney, has been training in boxing with the youth team for eight months. He's very happy and loves his coaches. The coaches are incredibly attentive to the children, they're fantastic, and they foster a love of sports, exercise, and boxing. All the coaches are passionate about their work and always smiling. I have just completed my final session after being a member since Jan 2024 and attending since Aug 2023. I am moving out of the city so thought best now to give a review after 2 years of attending here in different capacities. This gym has restored my faith in fitness and I won't ever forget it. I dabbled in boxing as a teenager but had other interests that took precedent at the time. After losing all of my fitness capacity due to a health incident and gaining weight thanks to Covid, I stumbled into this gym hungover not long after my 30th birthday and was welcomed in a beginner's class. I have seen my own growth from attending here, from not being able to do a full class without losing my breath, to being happy if I attended twice a week, to doing multiple classes in a day and also trying sparring. I have also taken up weight lifting, thanks to coach Costa's encouragement in the S&C classes, and have seen massive progress in terms of my overall strength to figures I never thought I could hit. I am now at a point where I don't feel right unless I am boxing and exercising regularly, even running which I used to hate(!), and my mental health has never been better because of it. The main benefit from attending here is the community and atmosphere the coaches provide as well as the other members where everyone is encouraging. Everyone is encouraging, from Marc's crazy core routine at the end of a class, getting tips from Bil, Sam's high energy classes and Jack's pointers in beginners, intermediate and sparring classes, there is something for everyone to learn from. Highest compliment I can give is I won't forget this place and it's been the main reason I've stayed sane throughout the last two years; it has been a regular respite away from the daily grind. Try the taster class and see if you fall in love - if you do, enjoy the ride - who knows, you might sign up for a fight!
