This store is really nice. An abundance of literature is available. It's history from the black perspective and it is sorely needed in these times, because it is history and is valuable. While we were there my spouse entered into a deeply meaningful conversation with another customer. It was delightful as the two are intellectuals. In this place ideas are discussed openly and the time spent at this bookstore was enlightening. The store has a large inventory of books and nutritional supplements, and much more. We even picked up a few bean pies while we were here. It's very relaxing and friendly, it has a nice vibe. I highly recommend Black and Nobel.
I waited to write this review to see how I would feel about it . My first thought was it has its a beautiful vibrate color and smells delicious. My skin is very sensitive to Synthetic soaps . It’s been a week since started using and my skin is clear it’s smooth and it made me skin feel tighten . It feels good ! Second product I bought is the Oregon oil (which is used for a variety of things ) Oregano oils have antioxidant, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. These oils may also play a beneficial role in weight management and infection treatments Within a week and continuous use it has play a huge role in my husband inflammation and pain in his kidneys . Third is the black seed oil also has similar role but helps things like hair loss , acne , asthma but also can be used Antioxidant , anti -inflammatory issues These oils are both winners and highly recommended especially since natural is the way to go and lots of medicines like Amoxicillin do take a serious toll on the brain / emotional and causes depression especially if you taking them for more than a week (Which drs are supposed to share the dangerous of the mental and emotional to taking them regardless more than 2 sets (bottles) ) which it is not discussed enough . I both bought these for my husband as he been experiencing terrible pain these helped him very much . As the Antibiotic do not do the same for him . Thank you for carrying the products you do !! I got the green tea soap and whipped body butter. The most incredible products ever. Butter lasts all day and smells amazing. Soap cleared my skin SO FAST.
Bookstore and gift shop, they actually mostly sell soaps, oils and incense. Though smaller they do give me a third eye books vibe. Had I not been flying I would've bought some hair oil. I ended up only purchasing a book I've previously owned and gave away. This one is a gift as well. Don't let the title fool you, it's real AF and highly recommended. Luckily I was to purchase this copy here and support my community. Support black owned businesses.
Good Evening Google Family! I was excited about visiting Black and Nobel, after my sister friend, Cara told me about it. I inquired of a place where a seamstress could sew my original design T-shirt. Then Cara told me about Black and Nobel. I had heard of it before. I had seen it in a newspaper advertising the products and I knew it identified as black-owned and woman led. I took my shirt with me and showed it to Margo, the owner. I am following her on Instagram. I had called her prior to my visit. I found her on Google and also Cara gave me her phone number. I wasn't thrilled about venturing to South Street because of the dreadful parking situation. I was pleasantly surprised that they now have zone labels. I was so happy because I could use my Meter app and would not have to worry about the meter maid giving me a ticket. The Meter App is a godsend!! If you are not using it, then you should. I highly recommend it!! I parked in the Zone separation, but before that I had gone to 411 South Street, and Margo informed me that they ship out of that location. The shop is located at 422 South Street. Anyway, I was pleasantly delighted by Margo's shop and I asked if I could snap photos. Margo pleasantly obliged and I snapped away. I explained to Margo that I was a Goggle guide and I have been reviewing places for a minute. Margo's shop is full of soaps, products for the hair and skin care products. Margo also has books for sale. I showed Margo the shirt and she said she knew someone who does make clothes and she was going to get in touch with them for me.. I bought a container of organic garlic oil and ginger with onion extracts for grow and edge treatment pomade. I paid $8.26 for the oil. See enclosed for photo. I am hoping that we stay in touch. Margo had a small truck outside with her store name on it. Margo is a very unique individual. I can tell that she is passionate about her business and uses the tools that are available to her. A great visit experience. I will return and tell a friend or two.
