Not only is Black Birch books great little bookstore, but they are also a very active member of the community with awesome owners! They support youth activities, the downtrodden, and more which can often extend well beyond selling books. They have a lot of fun things to look at and the store is always kept in excellent shape and condition, and the staff are wonderful!

Not my favorite. The staff were rude and the store was grungy (but not in the cool old bookstore way). The Wasilla public library is just a few minutes away, and has a much better selection, I’d recommend going the extra bit of distance.

Stopped out at this book shop! I feel in love immediately! Amazing staff, great book selections with fair prices. I really like the local authors and Alaska made section. Would recommend stopping by here any chance you get.

Fun local bookstore. The owner gave me a tour when I came in. They have coffee, too. I liked seeing the support of local groups with the different events they seem to be putting on. Books are a good price, and I was able to pick up a few under $10. Will try to stop by more often. They also have a cute dog!

Incredible vibes!! The owner is a dang delight. Primarily used books, with a sample of new books for book clubs and local author visits. Over 100 local artists have their wares here. Good prices on everything. Pride swag! Free hot beverages! Lots of resource literature for support services in the area. Look for the dressed-up skeletons!
