Stephen and I love to eat and shop local and stumbled upon Black Moon Pizza in Garden City. We have been back multiple times--we LOVE the menu--nice choices and everything tastes nice and clean. Rikki works very hard and is always so pleasant when we see her, as is the rest of the staff. We always leave satiated but not bloated and stuffed. It's a definite go-to for us!

Best GF pizza I've had in a long time! Crisp crust, soft center, toppings were perfect! Also ordered the roasted romaine salad, delicious! Great customer service! Plenty of seating with a great atmosphere.

I came here as a tourist craving pizza, and this spot popped up just before closing time. It turned out to be a great experience! There was a small delay with our order, but the staff went above and beyond to make up for it — something you don’t see often these days, and I travel a lot. The pizza was absolutely delicious. I’d definitely come back!

If I hadn't randomly looked up bakeries in Boise, just for fun, my husband and I would never have found this wonderful place up in Garden City, not far from downtown. A bakery AND pizzeria AND, apparently, an Anesso (Italian sandwiches) shop. How lucky can we get??? Bonus: the staff is just as amazing as the food. Dine indoors or just sit out back at the picnic tables with your dog. They'll even bring him/her a bowl of cold water with ice cubes in the summer and love on him/her with pets. We were only able to try a few slices of the pepperoni pizza for the Happy Hour (3-6 p.m.) — better than 90 percent of the pizza we've had from here to Seattle, fyi — but we'll be back for more, like the artisanal pizzas, the baked goods (get here before 2 p.m. for the best selection), and maybe an Anesso or two.

This was a random find via Google maps, amusingly enough. We got two of the Flower Moon pizzas, which were excellent. Ingredients from the website are: "pomodoro, basil, garlic confit, mozzarella, pecorino, parmesan, gorgonzola." The crust is chewy and crisp, with great texture. The cheese was nice and tart tasting, very good complexity. I love the garlic, as always. The front of house staff was pretty indifferent, but the kitchen staff who delivered the pizza was more engaged and pleasant. Highly recommend their pizza. This was on the cheaper end and it was $15, though. If you want less pricey pizza, I would find another restaurant. Editing this review to add: Returned to Black Moon, after deciding to give it another go. The staff was very nice, the pizza special they had with burrata is INSANE, and they have a lemony lavender drink that's delicious. I feel like the cost was worth it, especially at happy hour. Way better experience.
