Sharing our recent experience at BlissWood Bed & Breakfast Ranch. My husband and I took a two-night getaway from the hustle and bustle of Houston to relax—and relax we did! Our cabin, Sunset Pond, felt like something out of a movie. It was a charming, rustic cabin with all the comforts of home, nestled among the 100+ year-old oaks on the property. The front porch was perfect for morning coffee and evening sunsets as we looked out over our private pond. We also opted for the safari experience, and feeding and interacting with the majestic animals was such a fun and memorable time. Would we go back? YES, in a heartbeat! Miss Carol was amazing with communication, scheduling, and making sure every step of our trip—from booking to departure—was taken care of to our satisfaction. My husband and I wanted to treat our 6 year old daughter to a family vacation because she truly has just been the best daughter! We knew she loves horses and I stumbled upon this place. BlissWood is so accommodating that they allowed us to be able to bring our elderly dogs here as well. The owner, Carol, is just so sweet! She texts to check in on how we are doing and the extra experiences we added in to our trip were perfect! We did the hug a horse, two horse rides for our daughter, and the safari! Everything was just so perfect! Everyone was so friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. My daughter loves it here so much that she doesn’t want to leave. I will be telling everyone I know what a great place this is to come unwind and enjoy God’s creation.
My husband and I came here for our honeymoon. It was a beautiful place. They keep communication while you're there to a minimum so they don't bother you during your getaway. The water in the ponds was nice and clear. We did the Safari tour, horseback ride to the winery and a couples massage. Everything was perfect and the entire staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this ranch for a peaceful getaway.
We had the best time at Blisswood! We booked the Texas Dude Ranch Package for my husband’s birthday, and it was such an unforgettable experience. Richard was an incredible instructor, and Justine made our horseback ride so fun and relaxing. Just an hour from Houston, it’s the perfect little getaway that feels like a true escape without being too far from home. Highly recommend! We’re already planning our next visit!
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had an absolutely amazing time. The location is perfect for Houstonians looking for a fun getaway from the city. The property is in outstanding shape - the sunset cabin was romantic and cozy, highly recommend the outdoor hot tub and beautiful morning view of the pond. The staff is excellent - shout out to Richard in particular for being such a kind and funny guide for our archery and animal safari activities. Carol is extremely responsive and helpful, thank you so much again for making our stay so amazing. We will be coming back soon!
