unfortunately this place does not live up to all the hype it receives, at least for me. the wait is too long for average tasting overpriced food. i came in with my mom & we ordered two benes each. i enjoyed mine more than she did hers, but there are better tasting & more budget-friendly options out there.
Long anticipated visit finally happened! This place of high talks did not disappoint, and with a time crunch we were seated pretty quickly. Ambiance was a mixture of hip, yet cozy atmosphere, with an upbeat vibe to it. Service was attentive and fast! Matcha 🍵 Ube drink was AMAZINGLY delicious 🤤 and had to fight myself from ordering 2 more (it’s one of those drinks you want bottomless glasses of). But the 💕STAR 🌟 entree for me was the fresh jumbo crab 🦀 bene (Benedict)!! It was as fresh as if you’re ordering at SF Fisherman’s Wharf and I couldn’t get enough!! One of the best fresh tasting crab you’ll ever experience - without having to go to SF Fisherman’s Wharf.
My bf and I went to Bloom for brunch and sat outside. Good thing there were heat lamps and honestly, the atmosphere felt more peaceful outside. Our server Nicholas was very attentive to us and checked in on how we were doing often. Our food arrived fast! I got the shishito hash and my bf had the steak and eggs. We were not expecting huge portions! The brussel sprouts and fresh OJ was also delicious. Overall we really enjoyed our time, food and service at Bloom.
This was was an absolutely EPIC spot for brunch! There was a very long wait of an hour for a table, with the queue getting longer by the minute - but I can Completely understand why after trying it!! The food was just incredible, and so were the cocktails. This place makes brunch exciting and fun, the place is light and airy with just a fun bustling vibe. Food was cooked extremely well, they even have an open air kitchen so you can see things being prepared which is fun if you're a bit of a restaurant nerd like me. We had the chorizo bene and california bene and both were just amazing. Their bacon is delicious, eggs cooked to perfection, and even their English muffins are extremely good too. Highly recommend, and recommend you get there at least an hour before you want to eat on the weekends, they get super busy!!
Went to Bloom for Saturday brunch around 11:45 AM, and the wait was pretty long about 65 minutes. Once seated though, the food came out quickly, which was a nice surprise. The croissant French toast was definitely the standout dish, really delicious. The rest of the food was decent but nothing exceptional. The vibe of the place was good, bright, and lively, but it did get quite noisy, so not the best spot if you’re looking for a relaxed, quiet brunch. Overall, worth a try if you don’t mind the wait and a bustling atmosphere.
