My wife and I could not be happier with our decision to work with Belinda and Blue Gardenia Events! We all worked together as a team, but Belinda was the quarterback that kept us in line and managed the entire process flawlessly. During the initial process of vetting vendors, we interviewed over five wedding planners in New Orleans. I was wary at first, thinking we would be fine with just a day of coordinator. I also had friends that had poor experiences with their wedding planner, so I wasn’t completely sold on the idea. I realized quickly that it would be difficult to plan a New Orleans wedding while living in Chicago. After speaking with Belinda, I knew she checked all of the boxes and would be the biggest difference maker for us. The wedding planner you choose can make or break your wedding day, but it also can make planning your wedding stressful or a walk in the park. I will say that Belinda made planning our wedding stress free and enjoyable. Belinda is very organized and has great relationships with all of the top vendors in New Orleans. When we picked the vendors it seemed like we had great synergy and this is all due to Belinda running point. She never ceased to amaze us with her knowledge of the area, design ideas and her anticipation. I feel all of those qualities are a must for someone planning one the biggest day of your life. We especially liked visiting New Orleans to do in person wedding planning. The days when Belinda revealed the design ideas was incredible. As the groom, I was uninvolved when it came to design elements, but seeing it all come together and watching my wife’s get moved with happiness and emotion meant everything. Belinda is not another New Orleans wedding planner, she’s a wedding architect. Our wedding weekend and day was perfect and exceeded our vision and expectations. We featured in Southern Bride and countless wedding blogs and Instagram accounts. The title of the Southern Bride spread was “Unforgettable” and it could not ring truer. The entire process was perfect and working with Belinda was an absolute pleasure. She will certainly not be forgotten by us. Belinda was a great partner, but she’s an even better person and friend.
