Last night was my first time using Blue Pearl for an after hours visit for my senior dog due to an eye injury/irritation. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly they were able to see him and how wonderful the entire staff was. Everyone I interacted with was not only professional, but above and beyond in demonstrating kindness, empathy, and a true love of animals, which gave me more confidence in handing over my baby to them! They were transparent in what they were able to do for treatment at the time, their limitations as an emergency vet, and recommendations for follow-up. The vet took her time answering my questions and walking me through the treatment and what she was able to rule in/out, as well as potential concerns she couldn’t diagnose in that setting. I never felt rushed or judged with mine or the vet’s questions, which I also appreciated. Cost was also very reasonable for an after-hours visit in NYC.

The minute you walk in you are greeted respectfully and gently alongside your concerns. Dr. Greenberg did a phenomenal job with my cat, who we suspected had an infection or worse in his paw, but he performed an arthrocentisis procedure and turns out my cat had chronic inflammation. I found the pricing to be reasonable and I’m just glad it wasn’t anything worse than what we had imagined. I was so relieved to have gotten an appointment the day after I called and the procedure done the same day. I had called other hospitals in the area, but was told I needed to wait 3-5 days to make the appointment let alone do the procedure. Overall, I was so anxious and Blue Pearl and Dr. Greenberg were amazing and kind.

This place saved my baby! The Vets and Nurses were great attentive, kept me informed and answered all of my questions and concerns regarding my fur baby. Even had information for payment options and how my fur babies can become a hero donor 🙏. Thank You BluePearl for all of your Care, Commitment, Kindness and Compassion, for being there when we needed you and ALL that you do 🙌🥰💖

The wait was like any emergency room a human would go to. The facility was impeccably clean including the bathroom. The front end was courteous, nice and helpful. I asked a staff to do something for me that was not in the scope of his job. He was thanked. The response was “it is was my pleasure. This is what I get paid to do.” There is a sense of order. If you call prior to arriving, you will be triaged before your arrival which determines the level of the emergency. This is an example of process and procedure efficiency. It continued with a curtesy and kind medical team who were exceptionally thorough and explained things clearly. They refer to themselves as providing specialty care and emergency services. It was truly demonstrated. I wish they had a regular clinic!!!

When my cat suddenly became very sick, I rushed him to the vet and we discovered he had a urinary blockage - a life-threatening emergency in male cats. His vet immediately treated him and called ahead to Blue Pearl to let them know I was on my way. From the moment I walked through their doors, I was greeted with warmth and compassion. My cat has now spent five days in the ICU at Blue Pearl, and the level of care he received has been nothing short of outstanding. Every staff member — from the front desk to the nurses to the doctors — treated us with empathy, patience, and genuine kindness. I received regular phone updates, and any time I needed to check in or speak to his nurse (even in the middle of the night), someone was there. They even sent me pictures of him, which brought so much comfort during such a stressful time. Visiting hours were extremely flexible. As long as they weren’t actively treating him, I was welcome to stay — and I often did, sometimes for over an hour. I never felt rushed. They made my cat feel as comfortable as possible, and I could truly see how much they cared. I’ll be honest — I was nervous after reading some mixed reviews online, but I truly believe experiences vary based on individual circumstances. My boss recommended Blue Pearl to me, and I’m so glad I listened. Today, my cat is being discharged and is on the road to recovery — all thanks to the phenomenal team here. If you’re in an emergency situation and unsure where to turn, I cannot recommend Blue Pearl enough. They saved my cat’s life and supported us every step of the way.
