The best hairdressers in years! I felt really listened to regarding style, colour and up keep, the result was excellent! Thank you 🤩
I've been coming to Blush Hair & Beauty for many years now, and I genuinely wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. The team is absolutely fantastic. Emily is my regular stylist she's always so polite, friendly, and takes the time to really understand my vision each time. Her attention to detail and creativity mean I always leave feeling amazing. I've also had my hair done by Rachael-Lou, who is also lovely and talented. Both Emily and Rachael-Lou are incredibly knowledgeable and somehow always manage to make my ideas come to life - and even better than I imagined! Booking appointments is always a breeze thanks to Tori, who is consistently polite and friendly on the phone. Even the online booking system is easy to use and book in appointments if I want to make an appointment when the salon is closed. It's such a welcoming experience from start to finish. The salon itself has a lovely atmosphere, and the coffee machine is a brilliant touch, the drinks always make it feel that little bit more homey and relaxing. I highly recommend Blush to anyone looking for expert stylists and a warm, professional environment.
I have been a customer for years now but won’t be returning. They book too many people in which means stylists run late. I was asked to move my appointment by an hour, and they were still more than half an hour late. No one had the courtesy to even tell me they were running late and were happy to let me sit there the whole time. I’ve had previous instances where they’ve washed my hair and left me sitting there for 40 minutes. It’s not good enough.
My daughter’s first experience was at blush llandaff high street. We were amazed at the friendliness of the staff, it was a very welcoming environment with their own barista service and plenty of sweeties. The hair washing was in a separate room making it a calm and relaxing experience. The hairdresser ensured my LO had all the control of choice and constantly interacted with her. It went from a lions mane to an herbal essences advert. Really pleased and would highly recommended. Definitely returning here.
Came in for hair fix and didn’t have the best experience at all. For context, I’m a 18 year old that has just moved out of her own. After years of getting my hair professionally done, I tried to do it myself at home with semi permanent which I know is silly but I was financially really struggling at the time. I hated it straight away and waited and booked with Blush to fix it. The lady over the phone was wonderful, such a sweetheart and so reassuring. She told me they were experts in fixing hair and would be absolutely fine. So I came in for my consultation, not sure who it was with, but was met with a very weird attitude right away. I’m very friendly and have never had issues with anyone and don’t often have experiences like this, perhaps she was having a bad day but she had a bad attitude from the start. She literally grimaced at my hair as she ran through it, sighing and shaking her head as she made faces. I had tears in my eyes and was so close to crying as she told me my hair was literally unfixable. She told me she would be able to do a very gentle treatment but told me my hair was so extremely damaged and different lengths. She clearly didn’t want to help me and I’d received that message at this point. She even called over another member of staff who had the same attitude, shaking her head and saying my damage was far too extreme. I went home and sobbed in my bed for the day as my confidence was so rock bottom at this point and didn’t leave the house for about a week. I have debated posting this or not but after some time I feel I want to as the treatment I received as a young woman just doesn’t sit right with me really. The approach to hair on the phone was so different to real life. I understand if she didn’t want to touch my hair, she could’ve offered support and treatments and made a healthy hair plan with me like the hairdresser I went to next made with me but she didn’t. I went to a hairdresser a week after who was much kinder and open and made my hair look beautiful. As you can see, it wasn’t beyond repair. Just please be careful how you treat young women as a hairdresser, hair is everything to so many women and if you claim to specialise in fixing hair, I feel the attitude your staff displays need to align with that. Lady on reception was an absolute sweetheart though. Hope your staff can take this and understand where I’m coming from, and be more sensitive to clients. While my hair isn’t perfect now it’s so much better and the other hairdresser was so kind and understanding. Please be kind as you never know was someone is going through with their confidence.
