I could not have asked for a better artist to work with than Nikita and the team at BlushTones! Early in my vendor selection process, I was told to review social media pages of artists I might want to work with to design my bridal look - I knew I wanted a bold lip to capture a golden age of Hollywood feeling. Nikita was the perfect fit: she has a signature red lip that she's provided brides in the past, and I knew we would be a good team. About a month ahead of the wedding day, we had our makeup trial at the BlushTones studio, which was clean and easy to access for me, an out-of-town gal. Nikita made sure I was comfortable and having a great time by putting on a playlist that focused on smooth jazz and related pop music - lots of Sade, which I loved! We shared great conversation during the trial and she talked through the process so I could understand what to know, since I don't routinely get my makeup professionally applied. I left the trial excited and feeling very glamorous! Just before the wedding day, Nikita and the BlushTones team provided a "do's and don'ts" document to help my attendants out with what to expect, which they loved! It also took the pressure off me to craft info, which I appreciated. I was glad that (most) of my crew showed up on time and ready to have their faces transformed, and everyone was so complimentary of the team's hard work. Personally, I don't know if I've ever felt so beautiful - my makeup felt like an extension of myself, while dialing up the glam for a big day. My lipstick lasted all night, even if some of it ended up on my husband, and so many people told me I looked like a movie star. Nikita was a total professional while keeping things light - when I started to get weepy, she kept the look together with setting powder and product. She knew just what would bring it home, and I have been blown away by how I look in pictures as a result. I would 10/10 recommend Nikita and BlushTones and would definitely hire them again if I have another event in the VB area!
Leah did my makeup for my wedding and she is absolutely AMAZING! She made me feel so beautiful and comfortable and we absolutely loved hanging out with her and her team! My bridesmaids looked beautiful and my mom and mother in law were raving about their makeup looks as well! We all had the absolute best time the morning of the wedding with Leah and her team, getting ready and chatting and listening to music, that it just set the tone for the amazing day ahead. I would give Leah 10/10 stars if I could and I am absolutely using blushtones again in the future!
I worked with Regina for my makeup trial and actual wedding day and when I tell you I felt absolutely GORGEOUS! I kept shouting all day that I belonged on the cover of vogue, and I stand by that! Regina did my makeup and 4 of my bridesmaids and each one of us was stunning! They kept us moving and on time and created the greatest environment that morning of. I only had to make very minor adjustments from my trial and she listened so well and made me look better than I could have guessed! My skin looked flawless and my makeup just beautiful. She was so fun to work with as well patient and really listens to what you want but will give you some tips or thoughts if you ask! She really helped mold my vision to perfection and brought the more elevated makeup look I was going for to life. Also, my makeup didn’t budge at all for the whole 12+ hours it was on my face! I highly recommend Regina at BlushTones for you wedding or event makeup!
Victoria did my daughter's makeup for her wedding last Saturday. My daughter and I both loved her. She was friendly, respectful, personable and really knew her stuff. My daughter looked beautiful! A Natural Glam Look! Simply Gorgeous! Thanks Victoria 😍
Regina did my makeup, my mom/MIL's makeup, and my bridesmaids makeup for my wedding and did such an amazing job!!! I don't typically wear a ton of makeup and I told her that and she did such a great job of making me look and feel like myself but with an elevated look. I got married on a HOT day in Virginia in June and the makeup held up so well. My bridesmaids were also raving about how great the makeup (and hair!) looked. Not only is Regina talented, she was also so sweet and easy to work with!
