I am extremely lucky to have found Bob. He is a master of music, not just the guitar. He has an extremely high musical IQ and understands the language of music, inside and out. It's difficult to find a great teacher like Bob, who has a highly developed ear for music. You can have him listen to your favorite songs or different styles of music, and he can extrapolate the underlying musical themes, scales, modes, keys, and more. This all lends to him helping you understand and aim consciously at developing yourself in the vein of whatever music that you desire to create or play. Whether it's technique, theory, ear training, or something else, Bob has you covered and can help you reach your goals and unlock layers of musical understanding that may have been previously unknown to you.

I took the guitar up this year- a bit later in life than most- and started the year off with a teacher who was a nice guy, but in 6 weeks of lessons only taught me one chord. I was frustrated and floundering. Then I found Bob and it was an immediate transformation. I learned more in the first lesson than I had in all my previous efforts. Bob is knowledgeable, encouraging, and a great teacher. His approach is tailored to the particular student and he allows us to develop at our own pace. 5 stars are not enough to communicate how great he is as an instructor. I cannot recommend him high enough.

I found Bob based on the other rave reviews about his teaching style, and had the pleasure of being able to have a lesson with Bob last week. From just one hour with him, it's readily apparent that he is both an excellent guitarist—and more importantly—an excellent teacher. I've been self-taught for awhile, but Bob was able to instantly identify some areas of improvement from the first lesson. He takes the time to tailor the lesson and lesson plan to the student, which makes a world of difference, enabling the student to stay interested in the sometimes difficult study of music. Not to mention, his prices are very reasonable, probably the best in town. Give Bob a call, you won't regret it.

I'm a beginner guitarist who has been taking lessons with Bob for a few months now and I've found him to be a great teacher. All lessons are customized for the kind of music I want to play and the level that I'm playing at. He has a great ear and is able to give me great feedback with every lesson. Is very patient and has great techniques to help me learn.

My 13 year old daughter started taking acoustic guitar lessons with Bob in July. She was a total beginner. Bob has helped her to make tremendous progress. She now has two actual songs that she is close to mastering and is working on a third song. Not only can she play songs that she recognizes, Bob has customized his lessons to the specific genre that she loves and can relate to. She is enjoying her lessons very much and her family can definitely see her progress. Bob is a very gifted artist and teacher. He relates very well to my daughter and keeps everything on the pace that she enjoys. He is excellent at customizing his lesson to the things that she is struggling with at the moment, which has helped her to progress very quickly. He has a knack for picking up her struggles and tweaking them right away so she does not get frustrated. We consider Bob's lessons to be at a very reasonable price and a good investment. I really did not understand all the complexities of guitar until listening to some of his lessons and I really appreciate all his experience and talent. He is helping our daughter progress at a much quicker pace than I feel she would have done with another instructor. We would highly recommend Bob. We may, at some point in the future, include voice lessons as well because we feel the guitar lessons are so successful.
