Boruske Brothers fixed my Bronco faster than expected (they estimated needing to have it for two weeks and they had it fixed in one)! They did a great job and kept me informed throughout the entire process! Deb, Doug and everyone that I interacted with was amazing! Highly recommend!

I have had 2 vehicles repaired at Boruske Brothers. Great customer service, I have always felt a warm welcome into the shop. I have been updated about progress along the way. My car was covered in winter gunk inside and out at drop off and sparkling clean inside and out at pick up.

They keep contacting me even after I’ve told them to stop, so here is my review. Hopefully, I’ll be left alone now: I’m giving this establishment a rating of two stars because the staff were very pleasant to work with. However, I deducted stars because my overall experience wasn’t great, mostly due to significant miscommunication. I dropped my vehicle off on July 26, 2024. On August 20, 2024, I received a text stating that my car was painted, being reassembled, and that I would hear from them the following Thursday about completion. When Thursday came, I didn’t hear anything. The next day, I received a call from my insurance informing me that my car was deemed a total loss. I wish the shop had ordered the necessary parts before asking me to drop off my car, as the entire process took almost a month (July 26, 2024 to August 20, 2024), much of which seemed to be spent waiting on parts. Because of the delays in repairing my vehicle due to lack of parts, I had exhausted my rental car allowance through my insurance and had to pay $1,700.34 out of pocket for a rental over the course of two months. The total loss was due to bent tie rods. Based on communication I had with staff, I thought the last supplement to fix the car, which was $967.10, included repairs for the tie rods, which I believed led to the total loss determination. I decided to buy back my car from the insurance company and pay the $967.10 to fix the bent tie rods, under the impression that after that my car would only need an alignment and I’d be able to drive it the same day. On September 4, 2024, I paid the shop $980 to continue repairs. The following Tuesday, I got a call saying the car was fixed and was being sent to AAA for an alignment. I was out of town, so I arranged to pick it up on Wednesday. I was told I’d get a call that morning to confirm it had been sent to AAA. No call came, so I contacted the shop in the afternoon to let them know I was on my way. I was then told to come Thursday because a staff member wasn’t available. When I arrived Thursday, the car still hadn’t been sent to AAA. On both Wednesday and Thursday, I used Uber to get to work instead of my rental, thinking the car would be ready, and ended up spending over $100 on Ubers due to last minute communication from the shop. Had I known the car wasn’t at AAA, I would have driven the rental instead of wasting more money. On Friday, September 13, 2024, I was told my car had been sent to AAA in Newport, KY. When I called AAA to confirm, they had no idea what I was talking about. The shop dropped my car off with no explanation, so I had to fill AAA in on what needed to be done, which I shouldn’t have had to do. AAA later called back with an estimate for additional repairs—$1,336. I was shocked because I thought the car was only there for an alignment. This is when I found out that the $967.10 supplement wasn’t for the tie rods and wasn’t what caused my car to be deemed a total loss. The worker at AAA and my insurance agent explained everything to me. Apparently, the shop submitted an estimate from AAA to my insurance as a third supplement to my insurance, which led to the total loss designation. This was never explained to me by the shop. The most frustrating part is that the mechanical damage AAA found already existed before the accident. So now I have a salvaged title when I shouldn’t, all due to poor communication. No one at the shop explained this; I had to hear it from my insurance and AAA. The only silver lining is that the insurance paid the shop the $967.10, so I got my $980 back. Despite all of this, I would still recommend the shop, oddly enough. The workers were friendly and did a great job on the bodywork. I just suggest making sure they are clear about what’s going on with your car so you don’t end up in a situation like mine. This is my honest review—out of all the parties involved (the shop, insurance, and myself), I feel like I got the shortest end of the stick. Lesson learned
