I recently visited this floating ferry spa in Montreal and found the experience both impressive and, at times, disappointing. The facilities themselves are excellent - the spa is beautifully designed, relaxing, and offers a great variety of saunas, pools and relaxation spaces. Being on the water (with amazing views of the city) adds a unique and peaceful atmosphere that really sets it apart. However, some basic offerings felt noticeably lacking compared to other spas at a similar price point. Sandals were neither provided nor optional, they were compulsory and had to be purchased on-site. For tourists visiting in winter, this is an unexpected requirement and not something most people would think to pack. The bathroom amenities were also quite limited, and I had to ask for a bag to store my wet swimwear, which is typically standard at spas of this level. It was also surprising that there were no cups available for water around the site, with the expectation that guests bring their own water bottles. This felt like an unnecessary inconvenience and out of step with what’s usually offered at comparable spas. While the spa has a lot of potential and the core experience is strong, these small but important details make it feel like corners are being cut. Given the price, a few thoughtful changes would go a long way.

Bota Bota is a luxury spa in Montreal set along the water. This is a great place to spend an afternoon, and a fantastic spot for watching the sunset. It is one of the best spas I’ve been to in the world in terms of crowd control, noise level management, and creating a relaxing ambiance. I highly recommend this to travelers visiting Montreal, especially if you’ve been touring the city for days and are ready for a bit of R&R.

Pricey but location is exclusive. Very interesting views of Montreal no matter where. Take the on site parking. It's a great advantage and absolutely worth the $25. Excellent service and restaurant is very good. Perfect in town experience.

We did the water circuit on Christmas day and loved the experience. Very relaxing! We booked for the first time slot available and it was the best choice, by the time we were leaving it was much more crowded. I wish they provided better hair dryers at the change rooms but other than that no complaints. Don’t forget to take your water bottle and slippers.

Bota Bota is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. From the moment you step onto the boat, the atmosphere feels calm, elegant, and refreshing. The views of Old Montreal and the river make the whole spa experience feel surreal — it’s like escaping the city while still being in the heart of it. The water circuit is perfectly designed, with hot baths, cold plunges, and relaxation areas that flow naturally. The facilities are very clean, well-maintained, and never feel overcrowded. Staff are attentive and welcoming, always making sure guests feel comfortable and relaxed. Overall, Bota Bota combines relaxation, wellness, and stunning scenery in a way that’s hard to find anywhere else. I’d highly recommend it whether you’re a local looking to recharge or a visitor wanting a unique Montreal experience.
