UPDATED REVIEW September 2025: I want to share our experience after our daughter graduated from Building Block Daycare in August 2025. My daughter just started Pre-K and as the youngest in class (3 years old, turning 4 next week) we were initially nervous about how she would adjust. However, just three weeks into school, her teacher has already informed us that she is thriving with her peers, excelling in various projects, and showing remarkable social-emotional maturity. We attribute her success to Ms. Sandra and her dedicated team at Building Block Daycare. Our daughter made significant progress during her time at BBD; at age 3 she knows the months of the year, the days of the week, can write and recite the alphabet, and even read simple words. Her confidence bloomed at BBD and is social and caring towards others. Having our daughter at BBD for a little over a year was one of the best decisions we could have made for her development and readiness for school. We cannot thank Ms. Sandra enough for the care and love she has shown our daughter. Previous review: We cannot recommend Building Blocks highly enough! This exceptional preschool genuinely cares for and nurtures each student. Ms. Sandra has developed a personalized curriculum tailored to prepare every child for pre-K and kindergarten. The teaching approach emphasizes play and games, fostering a love for learning in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. My 3-year-old absolutely loves attending this school and looks forward to going every day, which is the ultimate goal for any parent. We can’t recommend this school enough!

Sandra's team provides a great service to the children and their families. Sandra is very intentional with the children's learning and development of social skills and is also very communicative with us as parents. Our daughter has had a wonderful time here from 10 months to 4 years old and I highly recommend Building Blocks Daycare to anyone who asks!

Highly recommended! Sandra is very hands on from activities to academics. She preps the kids for kindergarten. Very clean and very well kept day care and a great environment for the little ones. My kid went there for almost 2 years and I can see weekly that she was developing socially and academically while attending BBDC. Sandra is very patient and sweet with the kids. She teaches them compassion and also how to speak up and stand up for themselves. Sandra was also great and easy to communicate with she would keep me posted with how my child was doing through out the day. Thank you for everything Sandra

My two-year old daughter has been with Sandra at Building Blocks for 10 months, and we could not ask for a better caregiver and teacher. Sandra is not only patient and loving with the children, but she is also knowledgeable about what's important for children's development during these formative years. She has a curriculum, makes homemade meals which my daughter loves, and has a lot of space indoors and outdoors, as well as excellent assistants. I always thought it was going to be hard leaving my daughter in daycare, but Sandra was understanding and her experience made it so much easier. My daughter always wants to stay longer when we pick her up, and that says a lot about how she feels at Sandra's. I am so grateful to have found her and would recommend her to anyone looking for a loving daycare that'll help their child develop socially and academically. -Sacramento Parent

The best daycare around! When we were researching daycares for our daughter, we called or visited at least twelve different daycare providers here in Marin County. And when we met Sandra, we knew right away she was the only one we would trust with our precious baby. Sandra's heart and passion for teaching and caring for young children blew us away. Sandra took care of our daughter from when she was five months to two years old. Dropping off our baby on the first day was one of the most difficult things we've ever had to do as parents. Sandra was so loving, kind, and patient. She communicated with us constantly and was very in tune with how our daughter was doing. Sandra helped us move our daughter through the various milestones and always offered advice with the best of intentions and with a positive, encouraging spirit. We are happy for her to begin a new chapter in Sacramento, which is still close enough to visit. It's hard to put into words how much we miss Sandra and the support she provided for our family. We know we will be in touch because we all love her dearly. If you're in the Sacramento area and looking for a daycare for your child, I encourage you to meet with Sandra. Simply put: she is the best.
