I had a very disappointing experience at Bully Zone Groomers in Newark, NJ and unfortunately will not be returning. My husband scheduled an appointment for our dog, Honey, for 1:00 PM. I arrived on time and was told by the young lady at the front desk that my dog was matted and that grooming would take about 2½ hours, which I understood and agreed to. When I returned around 4:00 PM expecting my dog to be close to finished, I was then informed that they had not even started grooming her yet because they were short-staffed and only had one groomer working on approximately 20 dogs. My issue is not with being short-staffed — things happen — but with the lack of communication and honesty about the wait time. If the staff knew there would be a significant delay, I should have been advised to reschedule instead of leaving my dog there for hours without service being started. I dropped my dog off at 1:00 PM, and as of after 8:00 PM she was still not ready. That is over seven hours for a scheduled grooming appointment, which is completely unreasonable and extremely inconvenient, especially since I live far from Newark. Customers deserve accurate time estimates and transparency so they can make informed decisions. This experience felt disorganized and inconsiderate of customers’ time. Sadly, I will not be returning.

Was able to take my baby to bullyzone for her grooming service. i wanted something different and not just a basic shave down like how most other grooming places do. she normally hates going to the groomers and i always hear her barking non stop but with bullyzone she was perfectly calm and relaxed despite there had been other dogs ahead. She’s a senior as well so i was worried she’d feel sick but she came out feeling and looking better than ever! will definitely come again, if you want something unique and different for your fluffy friend bullyzone is the perfect spot with the best pet care!
