When I first moved in, they were great about fixing the maintenance issues quickly. But after that things went downhill. I put in a request to fix the toilet as it was running constantly - the first request got cancelled with no explanation, the second request sat open for a YEAR. Finally I just cancelled it and got my boyfriend to fix the toilet. Kitchen faucet was leaking so I made another maintenance request and they scheduled someone for a day I said I was not available....

Responsive until you move in then crickets ..... Moldy broken dishwasher since 11/2024. Maintance requests getting cancelled with zero contact. Had brown water leak from a ceiling fixture in the kitchen all over my produce and floor and nobody came to inspect or repair. Enough evidence to file complaint with Alaska department of commerce, community and economic development and Alaska legal services corporation as well as report to municipal code enforcement division for habitability violations such as mold.

I rented a unit for 4 years had a couple of hiccups. I received a telephone call from Mike the owner of Buyers Real Estate asking me to give him insight to always better and improve his business. Easy move-in process. Fast to respond, easy to get ahold of. We moved into an older unit and it had a couple minor issues, but I am happy with the way they are being handled. Our shower wasn’t working (bath was fine, we could survive), but it was fixed within 24 hours of the maintenance request. We moved into an older unit with some paint stains on the floor, an almost broken cabinet, and a few other things. All of those were specifically notated in our inspection report which helps the worry of if we will be charged for something we didn’t do. So far, I am very pleased with management.
