Cactus House is a must if you're a bay area musician looking to record your music. Trevor has a perfect set up and was adjusting quickly to our playing in order to get the best out of us. He knows his studio and gear well, and was quick to get everything set up so we could plug in and go! Best of all, Trevor is a perfect collaborator. We came in with our ideas and he was quick to implement them, but when he had a few suggestions he was very sweet but also concrete on why he was making the suggestion. And when we had questions on how to achieve certain sounds Trevor knew exactly what to do. Each suggestion made our recording sound better. Couldn't ask for a better collaborator to make our next record. Erika is an awesome host who made us feel right at home.

Cactus House is a wonderful, relaxed and creative atmosphere to record in. Trevor has the equipment and expertise to make your ideas come to life. He also is a great sounding board (no pun intended) for ideas, and helps artists achieve their intended audio preferences. I would certainly record there again!

Working with Trevor at Cactus House was so much fun. Trevor is incredibly talented and I really enjoyed his input on our songs and how efficient the process was. I don't feel like any time was wasted. I am looking forward to going through the mixing and mastering process and will be back to record more!

Cactus House Recording has become a place of fun and creative music production for me. It’s an approachable, affordable, and innovative studio with high quality equipment and sound engineering skills. For anyone with interests in creating and recording any kind of sound at any level, casual or serious, I highly recommend this studio. * Approachable: Trevor Gabriel, the owner, producer, and sound engineer of the studio is very friendly and understanding. I’m just a hobbyist singer-songwriter with zero confidence in my voice and guitar, but Trevor is very patient and made the process of performing and recording so fun at a relaxed pace. * Affordable: Great value at affordable rates. You’ll get a lot for your money at this studio. * Innovative: In Silicon Valley, innovation comes from collaboration and iteration with no fear of errors and mistakes by trying new things. The recording process with Trevor is exactly that. I’ve been very impressed by the sound we created. * High quality equipment: Every instrument and equipment Trevor owns and uses has intriguing history and stories. We recorded an EP and album with Trevor at Cactus House Recording. We’ve had 3 sessions total and every session is better than the last as Trevor dials in our sound! The studio itself is cozy and welcoming, with lots of instruments and amps at our disposal. Trevor is an excellent recording engineer and did a great job mixing our tracks. One stop shop for mixing, mastering, and distribution. We can’t wait to get back in the studio. Also, the kitties Miso and Ash are super cute and fun to hang out with when not tracking. Erika is the sweetest and makes you feel right at home.
