Emily and the other girls here are super kind and helpful. I'm headed back east soon for a wedding and just want to get a little color. Cali Tan has reasonable prices and decent beds. #6 takes a while to turn on, but other than that, I'm satisfied. Thank you!
I went to Santa Cruz from North Carolina. I went to this place that I simply typed in on my phone. I had some time to Waste and there was the sweetest girl at the counter and I just said look I’m never ever gonna be here again and I want the oldest tanning bed model you have because I’ve had issues with like the deep tanning. She was talkative and I told her that I’m usually talkative because I’m a southern gal And she said she liked to talk to her. She was very nice and when I went to leave she addressed me by my first name and told me to have a good day.
I had an extremely disappointing experience over the phone. The person I spoke with was shockingly rude and unkind. I was calling about a Groupon voucher for the “Sculpt Infrared Bliss” service, but she seemed to have no idea what I was talking about. Instead of asking clarifying questions or making an effort to understand, she simply responded, “This is a tanning shop,” and dismissed me. It would have been much more helpful if she had taken a moment to verify the details or tried to assist me in any way. I’m now confused as to why this business is offering so many deals on Groupon if they are unwilling or unable to support them. This interaction also makes me question the authenticity of the positive reviews.
Great place to tan. My only knock is that the beds are miss labeled. For example, the bed in the front is labeled as a level 3 bed, but has low pressure bulbs. Low pressure bulbs can never be rated above level 2. It’s easy to tell, because all you have to do is look at the bulbs.
I’ve been a (occasional) client of this branch for 10 years, & they’ve consistently offered the best beds, that are updated regularly with new bulbs. They also have very clean beds and facilities, topped off with the sweetest and most helpful staff. Excellent!
