There is a happy hour here Monday through Friday 3 to 6 PM and everything is delicious. I just got an eight dollar martini with TITOSso yes come and parking is only seven dollars because they validate. The manager Beatrice is really sweet.
I was tempted to post a picture of my vomit to show what happened, but that would be too disturbing, so I’ll just explain clearly. I’m visiting California from Florida, and this was my first time eating at this restaurant with a friend. I ordered the spinach dip and the Salmon Piccata. The spinach dip tasted off — watery and bland. Honestly, Applebee’s version tastes better. I still ate some of it anyway. The lemon cream noodles in the piccata were actually good and reminded me of other fine dining places, but the salmon itself was overcooked and very dry. I couldn’t finish half of it because I thought maybe I just wasn’t hungry. About an hour after leaving, I went to my friend’s home and ended up throwing up five times. For context, my stomach reacts fast when something is old or contaminated, and unfortunately, this felt exactly like that. I travel a lot — 45 states, 6 countries — and I just returned from Thailand where I ate street food daily with zero issues. But one meal here made me violently sick. The next day, I called to politely ask if a refund was possible. They said they’d look into it and call back, but they never did. When I called again, a different manager questioned why I didn’t say anything that same night and told me their dishes are “popular” and they “never” get complaints. I tried explaining my situation, but the manager kept repeating that I was the only one complaining, basically dismissing my concern entirely. Just because other people didn’t get sick does not mean my specific dish wasn’t contaminated. That’s not how food safety works. If you look into my contributions, I have plenty of reviews at different restaurants. I have a good understanding of what proper food quality should taste like. Overall, extremely disappointed — both by the food quality and the way management handled the situation. The meal was overpriced, gross, and the service afterward was terrible. The waiver did a great job though. If you want Italian food, please go to an authentic Italian restaurant instead.
CPK is really good again! 11/12/25: Lunch duo with Five Cheese and Tomato pizza (4.25*, no marinara and the cheese is mostly Parmesan) and Italian Chopped Salad (4.5*)

I’ve been to the other California Pizza Kitchens in other cities and this one is just as great. During their “Happy Hour” times I was able to get a coffee, Caesar wedge salad, their dynamite shrimp appetizer & chicken lettuce wraps. The coffee was about average, the salad was pretty good because of the creamy dressing. The lettuce wraps was also pretty good and filling but the Dynamite shrimp stole the show. Probably the best appetizer shrimp I’ve ever had. The crisp was just right, flavor was on point and overall it was phenomenal. I’d definitely come back to this spot again to try their other menu items. Parking is local street or paid garage parking & I don’t know if they validate because I walked it.
