So much fun! We went as a family for Campbell House Holidays. I was so sad that we missed it last year, and it was so worth the year-long wait! We used the free passes through the Spokane County Library District. We have a 4 year old, 2 year old, and 1 year old. The 4 year old loved it and asked lots of questions, the 2 year old had fun just looking around and asking what the different things were, and the 1 year old just chilled in the baby carrier :) Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, and the the actors were such a fun part because they of course stay in character!
Where else in Spokane can you visit an historic home from the Pacific Northwest's Gilded Age? There is so much to learn that stems from this house: Who was the architect? Who were the Campbell's? Where did their wealth come from? What was Spokane like when the Campbell's lived here? The Campbell's employed servants - what were their lives like? What happened to the house after the Campbell's moved out? So much to learn!
Must see when in Spokane ! We had Erica as our guide and she was wonderful. The house is so well restored and much details to enjoy. Don’t forget to go to Wallace town; that’s where the Campbell family made it’s fortune in silver mining. We loved the tour there too. Thanks Erica !
