I picked up a plant today and the shelf price didn’t match the checkout price. Even after confirming it was the same item, staff refused to honor the posted price, saying the tag wasn’t updated. Advertised shelf prices must be honored. Please train your team on customer rights.

If you walk into this store, guaranteed they will try to sell you a credit card before anyone helps you find anything.

Dan from the In-Store Pick Up desk was quick, kind and efficient. He even brought my heavy purchase out to the truck for me and helped to get it in. I am so appreciative of this small, brief but positive experience with him. Thanks Dan!

Okay, besides the fact this store is genuinely a cluttered nightmare to navigate, they have royally screwed up its checkout design. Ever since they got rid of cashiers it has become a mess. First it was cashiers with self-checkout as an option on two levels. Then it was only self-checkout on the first floor with an overzealous security dude checking bags. Then it was self-checkout with "helpful" staff touching the screen for you as if you don't know how to press a button. Now it's a pre-checkout person scanning your products for you as if you're a shoplifter before you even get to the self-checkout for payment, where they still have people treating you like you're an idiot. Seriously, go back to having cashiers if this is your solution! This is easily the worst Canadian Tire location in Toronto.
