Don’t waste your money. $298 bucks for “rodent service” which you can do yourself. All the tech did was place 3 bait stations one under sink, one in pantry and one next to fridge (you can get these for $33 bucks from Bunnings) and tell me about weep holes. Didn’t even take his filthy shoes off. In and out in less than 15 minutes. Didn’t check garage properly and said looks pretty tight and secure. Both sides of garage door have big entry points. No bait stations placed. Again don’t waste your money, absolute scam way of making money. Just google how to get rid of mice and you will prob spend less than $100 bucks including sealing off entry points etc. too bad I thought they would do more than I could. They did bring their torchlight though to highlight droppings etc which can’t be seen without shining a light on it which I thought was a good touch. NOT.

Have used Canberra Pest Control many times over the years but my latest experience was a complete failure. After hearing noises in the ceiling of one room day and night which was gradually increasing I called Canberra Pest Control. The first technician had a look with the torch on his phone and said that the problem was mice / rats and set up two bait stations. After a week with no reduction in noise or smell of dead rodents I called the company again and a different technician came. He also checked with the torch from his phone so I lent him a torch. He said the baits had not been touched but could not find evidence of where the noise was coming from. Out of desperation I asked my son (a public servant who knows nothing about pest control) to have a look. He merely poked his head through the manhole and with a torch, immediately located the issue…European wasps!!! After Googling how to eradicate them, a trip to Bunnings and two applications of spray and powder over two days, the problem has been resolved. Canberra Pest Control must equip technicians with torches and ensure they have a thorough understanding of the behaviour and habits of the pests they purport to treat. A totally unsatisfactory experience! One star as both the technicians were pleasant but were ill- equipped for the job.

We got a reminder email that our yearly spray was due, so rang up and booked. We were amazed that we were able to get a booking for that same week, that was awesome! We were told on the phone 7am Friday. So far so good. Didn't receive a confirmation email, after the call, weird but I guess no worries. We got up at 6am to prep the house - pack away the toddlers toys and pet bowls, get everyone ready to leave the house. We were ready before 7am. 7am came and went. At 7:20am, I tried ringing but got the "you've rang out of hours" voice. The voice doesn't say when office hours are, so checked the website, which says 8am. I waited and rang again at 8am. At 8:05am. At 8:10am, still getting the same message. At this point, the toddler was hungry, I was frustrated and was wondering, did I get the date wrong? but had no way to confirm!! I checked flicks website instead of Canberra pest control, flicks website says the business hours are from 9am! So we decided to wait until 9am to try ringing again. Thankfully didn't get to that point because the technician arrived just before 9am. He advised that they now do am or pm bookings, so they'll rock up any point within a 5 hour window, without warning, which is nuts! We were about to leave for the day and call it quits, not knowing this is how they now opportate (the website still says "We run to a very tight schedule so we will be there on time (allow 5 minutes for traffic)". Once he arrived, everything went smoothly, paid, did a house walk and then he started getting ready and we headed off. Our experience was pretty bad, going from a 5 minute window to a potential five hour window without warning still blows my mind. We hope the rest of the experience is unchanged, that they still honour the 6 month warranty that's on the website, and hope the product is still as good as previous, $385 for the service is a lot of money! Suggestions: 1) do away with the am or pm bookings 2) if you must keep the am or pm bookings, let customers know roughly what time closer to the day, the waiting and not knowing is a killer 3) update the Canberra pest control website with your correct office hours - I've just edited the Google Maps hours for you. 4) add your office hours to the voicemail message 5) send a booking confirmation email after a booking is made via phone.

Have used Canberra Pest Control for several years now without a problem. Last done in September 2023 and now we have spiders inside the house 7 months later. Rang today to find that because I paid in full on the day there was only a 3 month warranty. Since their merge with Flick there is a monthly payment plan which has a year warranty attached. I wasn’t made aware of this when I made the appointment or when I paid. Very disappointed 😣

We have been using Canberra Pest Control for a number of years and had our yearly treatment provided by Simon this morning. He was excellent! Very professional, thorough and he made sure everything was secure. Thank you Simon. We were really pleased with the service we received and will definitely continue to use Canberra Pest Control.
