The staff have been incredibly kind and welcoming to this wary traveler. I got relocated for work and my biggest stress in my life is how do I accommodate my dog during my long working hours. Canine to Five's hours are incredible. Their staff is super kind and attentive to Daisy. They even have a report card on your first visit and very quickly had a thorough understanding of my dog. She hasn't had any negative impacts due to stress so they definitely balance social and alone time very well even during long visits. Everyone at the Cass facility has done their part to make my life easier during a very stressful time. I am so grateful and already have raved about this place to my coworkers. I can't thank these folks enough. My dog and I thank you from the bottoms of our heart.
Trainee groomer cut our young dog’s eye. A different groomer didn’t give our elderly dog water all day and she died a few days later. Those are the two worst experiences I can list, however, they are consistently incredibly slow and leave dogs in the kennel all day with no water or potty breaks. Horrible groomer. ____ EDITED TO RESPOND: Unsurprisingly, Canine to Five's response to my review contains dishonest information. I understand they need to defend and protect their business, however, it's important I clarify a few points. Canine to Five's depiction and timeline of our recent groom visit is incorrect. The day before our scheduled groom, I called to update the service from a full groom to a 'face, feet, and fanny' due to our work schedule. We were assured that would be fine and it would indeed be a shorter service. When I dropped him off that morning, we were given a later pick up time (5 hours for a 'face, feet, and fanny', which is unreasonably long) because another groomer called off work at the last minute. That is an important detail. When I called to ask for an update on our dog's groom, they said that because they were short staffed, he was in a kennel for 2 hours before they even started his groom. We ended up rearranging our afternoon to get him because we couldn't leave him there in a kennel with no potty or water breaks. Another false claim is that we were offered a "complimentary" play because of the delay - there was no complimentary play offered, but a play at an additional charge was offered. On another topic, I am confident sufficient water is not offered to the dogs at grooming. Every time our dogs have come home, they chug a full bowl of water for minutes on end in a way I have only ever seen them do on grooming days. It's heartbreaking to think that months ago, our other dog who was elderly at the time passed away a few days after her final groom, in part because she never recovered from the intensity of her dehydration from a day at Canine to Five. That same day was the day that our current dog's eyelid was cut and bleeding. We were highly encouraged to give the grooming department another chance, and we absolutely regret returning and will never return. Of course, I can foresee a potential response to this with further defense, but I have no interest in any more discussion about our disappointments and frustrations with Canine to Five. Fortunately, there are many wonderful groomers in the area who treat both the dogs and humans with greater care and respect and we already have care set up with a new company. For those who read this far, I highly recommend seeking grooming elsewhere.
Our puppy loves the daycare and boarding - she is always exhausted after having fun with her new friends - highly recommend (she even comes home beautiful after a bath and nail trim). I love the cameras so I can stalk my baby while she is there!!
I have a three year old, extremely energetic Shih-Tzu. And this may be her second favorite place on Earth. (aside from sleeping in my lap). She goes in once a week for a day of play while I work. She has memorized the route and will growl and bark at me to complain of I don’t follow the “correct” route! Almost everyone knows her on site and when we check in I often don’t have to tell them who she is. She boards with them, plays with them, and loves them. I recently went on vacation and they sent photos of her and told me about her day. They really do take great care of her and the other dogs very well. Sometimes I even get impromptu photos of her! I love the Facebook group and all the photos they take and post throughout the day. And when I pick her up she’s just as happy to go home with me. At that point, she really needs the nap. And that works for us both!
I cannot say enough good things about Canine to Five. They take such good care of my dog and really get her quirks and personality. I trust them so much with my baby girl!v I love the pictures too and seeing how well she does every time she visits
