Can’t say enough good things about Dave & his crew! We are first time puppy owners and Dave’s training was exactly what we needed to get our girl started with her commands and behaviours. She stayed for the 2 week puppy program + 3 additional lessons with the 3 of us an hour each. We are so happy with her progress and highly recommend this service!!

We cannot say enough amazing things about Canines Alberta! We first brought our Belgian Malinois, River, to David for socialization with other dogs and people. Knowing his breed, we expected challenges, but River has come back an incredible, well-rounded dog. David has made such huge strides with him, and the progress has exceeded our expectations. And we know exactly what do keep doing at home thanks to him and Kristen! We also rescued Butters, our 2.5 year old European Doberman, and sent him to David and Kirsten shortly after bringing him home. This was a big challenge, he didn’t even know his new name or have any foundation to build on. In such a short time, they trained him so well that his recall to a brand-new name was almost immediate. It’s truly remarkable! Now River and Butters not only thrive individually but get along beautifully together, and that is entirely thanks to “Uncle David and Auntie Kirsten.” We are beyond grateful for the love, respect, and dedication they pour into every dog they work with. Canines Alberta has been life-changing for us and our pups!

My husband and I hired David and Kirsten to train our Cane Corso puppy! I’m so glad we did. We travel a lot and started out with private sessions and then did board and train for an extended period. 150lbs dog with 3 younger kids can make for a chaotic household, they took on her training for us at what I felt was very affordable. Our 11 month old puppy is so well trained. She listens to my 9, 10, and 12 old give her commands and is thrilled to perform. Her recall is so good 😊 money well spent and we will be boarding her with them forever. Kirsten and David, are for sure the godparents to our pupper! Highly recommend them if you are looking for the “concierge” service of training where you can take your dog out and be proud 🥹

I am thrilled to share my outstanding experience with David who worked wonders with my fur baby, Pluto! This review comes with the highest 5-star rating, and for good reasons. I have hired a couple trainers to work with Pluto, unfortunately none of them were able to help him with his aggression. First time I met David I could tell right away that he is not just qualified but also really passionate about canine behaviour. How he approached Pluto was something different from what I have seen from various trainers which I find really brave! The results speak volumes about their effectiveness. My dog's behavior has undergone a remarkable transformation, and I credit it entirely to David and his staff’s expertise. He tailored the training session to suit my dog's specific needs, addressing behavioral issues like being aggressive and reactive towards both humans and dogs. David understands that every dog is unique, and their training methods reflected a personalized approach to my dog's temperament and learning style. This level of attentiveness and customization truly sets him apart in the world of dog training. To sum up, I heartily suggest David to anybody who is looking for both successful training and a fun and fulfilling experience. He certainly deserves the 5-stars, and I appreciate all the knowledge and expertise he contributed to my dog's life. I appreciate that you made this process truly enjoyable in addition to succeeding. Gus has been home now for a week since his 4 week board and train with David and staff. The difference is night and day. The program is worth every penny. Prior to this training, Gus was unmanageable for me. He had no boundaries - hated his crate, no routine, wasn't house broken, walking and taking him was a nightmare because he pulled so much (especially with seeing rabbits). It was 6 months of me trying with no success. We had tried 2 other training programs prior to David's, with little to no success. Now, Gus is so much fun to take out and play with. His walks nicely next to me, he loves his crate and sleeps through the night. No more accidents in the house. He leaves our senior dog alone! Words cannot describe how grateful I am to David and team for helping with Gus. His ongoing support and advice on working with both me and Gus are invaluable. This has literally changed our lives. Thank you so much. I highly recommend David and team to anyone with a new dog, or a dog with behaviours they need support with.
