For the most part, I’ve always had good experiences here when speaking with the right staff member. However, I felt it was important to share a concern. On two separate occasions, my wife came in to purchase gifts for me, and both times she left feeling talked down to and disrespected when asking simple questions. That was disappointing, especially since she was genuinely trying to get helpful information and make a purchase. I enjoy this store and want to continue supporting it, but this is something that really stood out and is worth being aware of.
I experienced blatant racism today. I bought seven bottles of wine, paid for them, and the clerk boxed them for me. As I walked to my car and put the box in my trunk, the manager, Kyle H (his name is on the receipt), stopped me and asked for my receipt. I asked him, “Why do you need to see my receipt? If my alcohol is in a store box, how could I have left without paying?” He had no answer. I showed him the receipt anyway and asked why he singled me out when other people were leaving with boxes of alcohol too. He said, “I don’t know.” Then he randomly asked if I liked Heritage wine. I said yes—obviously, since I bought it. He replied, “Well, I like Heritage wine!” which made no sense. As I sat in my car afterward, the situation bothered me more. The only reason he approached me was because I am an African American woman. I saw white men walking out with boxes to their cars, and he didn’t ask them for anything. After thinking it over, I went back inside to talk to him again. I asked why he singled me out. He repeated that he didn’t know. I explained that you only get a box for your alcohol after you pay, and that his actions were hurtful. He asked what he could do, so I asked him to apologize. I also told him he needs to make better choices, because not everyone is a bad person.
Had a few store picks, quite a few items were on sale with a really good markdown, other than that just an average bourbon selection
My husband and I went in (8-29-25) looking for some bourbon and tequila..and the 2 gentleman in there today were so helpful and very knowledgeable..they convinced my husband to try a different bourbon then he usually drinks and when I grabbed my "usual tequila" they made some recommendations and told me the differences in some of the brands..we got them home and took a taste..he absolutely loves the bourbon it tastes like a scotch he says..and I thought the tequila was so good.. smooth and taste so much different and better then the other stuff I usually get..thank you gentlemen for helping us and recommending what you did
One of my favorites. Well laid out store with a brand selection of spirits. The staff are helpful and offer suggestions. Large cabinet style humidor if you're looking for sticks. They often have surprises at reasonable prices. The staff have a lot of integrity and do not hold back rare or allocated products for their friends. The prices are reasonable and usually at MSRP. Plenty of parking and easy access. It's a great bottle shop.
