Just finished recording my first song with John and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. We got so much done in 4 hours and I really heard a big difference start to finish 10/10 recommend recording at Capricorn Studios

I’m so glad I chose Capricorn to record my songs. It was very serendipitous to run into John—he is amazingly talented and authentically friendly that I don’t care if I make big mistakes in front of him. My first time every recording was at Capricorn; I had canvassed a couple studios but when I visited Capricorn, the decision became easily apparent. The whole place is a great vibe—a cozy and homey studio (with snacks and tea!). John’s musicianship and easygoing personality make for a productive and amicable collaboration. Thank you, Capricorn and John, for existing and being awesome! Shout out to Kris, Chloe, Mina and Emilio too! 11/10 would recommend to a friend

Spent the day in the studio cutting some demos with Chicken Hawk. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we walked in John and Mina made us feel right at home. A beautiful very accommodating studio with excellent vibes and people! Thanks again for having us. Can't wait to comeback! Highly recommend for any and all studio needs!!!

We’ve been recording with Kris & John for several years and it’s been a life-changing experience. The musicianship, production & vocal guidance has been amazing, professional and, most important, supportive. Each project requires unique instrumentals, vibe and production style and these producers strive to tackle our dynamic expectations!! All levels of talent are honored, from the professional session musicians we bring in with us to the first-timers who are looking for an authentic studio experience. Finally, Kris is an exquisite mixing and mastering engineer, and puts his heart into every project. Couldn’t ask for more!!

What a vibe! This place feels so comfortable and I immediately felt at home. These guys are legit. John and Kris are great musicians and have the ear for the job. Exceptional analog gear and vintage amps! I will definitely be back for my next recording project! I've been to a few studios in San Diego and finally found a solid home. Highly recommend!
