Randomly chose this place to eat with friends and the experience was great. I don’t think I hated anything we ordered. Our server helped to craft the best experience possible that night so shout out to them. Both the ribeye, and short rib were delicious. All the pasta dishes were amazing as well. Wine was flowing and we were recco’d a very nice Argentinian red. I would definitely come back.
Incredible steakhouse! What a hidden gem. The food was fantastic (would recommend the skirt steak and ribeye medallion), service was impeccable (shout out to Carter for making our night wonderful), and the atmosphere felt like walking back into old Hollywood. The vibe is romantic and intimate. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a great steak!
Carlitos Gardel is nothing short of phenomenal. The whole menu delivers, but there are a few absolute musts: the appetizer gambas asadas grilled shrimp, the tapa de ojo steak, and the entraña steak, all cooked to perfection. The burrata and Caesar salad are also very, very good, and their pastas are excellent. What really stands out is the consistency. It’s a family owned spot and you can genuinely feel the love in every move they make. The indoor dining area is beautiful with a classic ambiance, made even better when there’s an accordion player adding to the atmosphere. The outdoor patio in the back is just as charming. This place is one of the most underrated steakhouses in Los Angeles. Honestly, it puts Steak 48, Mastro’s, and all the big names to shame. Truly a gem.
Food was very good. Missing photos of empanadas because they disappeared. Beef empanadas were little bit too salty for my taste but they freshly made so try chicken if you don’t eat much salty food. It’s a boutique steakhouse so service was very good. It’s a dare ambiance. Very romantic. Small cute place where you rub the shoulders with people and you can ears-drop all conversations easily because you sit so close, perfect for a date so it’s not so boring :)
I originally planned to take my husband to this spot for his birthday, but we had to cancel because of the fires near Sunset. So for our anniversary, he completely surprised me by taking me instead—and I’m so glad he did! We started with the burrata with prosciutto and a Caesar salad. The Caesar was especially delicious, served with anchovies perched right on top of the romaine spear—such a bold, classic touch. For the main course, I had the ravioles de trufa (truffle ravioli), and he ordered tapa de ojo (prime ribeye cap). We shared a side of creamed spinach. My ravioli was cooked perfectly, rich, and creamy—absolutely amazing. His ribeye cap was a standout: perfectly medium rare and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The creamed spinach was tasty, but we both felt it leaned a bit too rich. We ended the night with not one, but two desserts: the bread pudding and the mascarpone. A sweet finish to a thoughtful and memorable evening. Our server was very pleasant and attentive throughout most of the meal. Toward the end, however, we had to wait quite a while for the check. I get it—it was getting busier—but we’re not the type to linger and talk. We were ready to pay and head out. *Parking is valet only: $15
