I ordered the Ahvaz after asking someone working there what is their favorite, and it did not disappoint. If you like heat and tons of flavor, I would highly recommend. The bread, sosis bandari, and seasonings were probably some of the best combinations I've ever had, and it might genuinely be the best sandwich I've had in LA. Next time I'm in LA, this is likely the first spot I'll be going to!
We always enjoy stopping by LA Sandwich Bar. The food is fresh, flavorful, and consistently well made, with great options for a quick lunch or feeding a group. Service is friendly and efficient, and everything is always done right. A solid local spot we’re happy to support.
Some of the best sandwiches in the area. Really friendly service. I haven’t had anything here that I disliked. Small shop but always able to find a seat inside or out.
Who in the world would consider this a good sandwich?! Seriously, I never knew a sandwich could be so bad. I counted exactly 3 slices of the cheapest thinnest deli meat drowning in bread and toppings. I tasted nothing other than lettuce and dressing. I uploaded a side view of the sandwich and as you can see, there is no meat to be found. Then the bread is so wide that the deli meat only covers about 75% of the bread, so you're left eating a mayo and bread sandwich. It was ridiculous. I gave the other half to a homeless person. Bristol Farms is down the street - their sandwiches are delicious with waaaay better quality ingredients.
We were in the area to pick up a cake my sister won. It was fortunate this shop was just close by, I was getting hangry. The Owner, Sina was so nice and friendly. I mentioned that I loved the menu board occupying one side of the wall. Handwritten menu items, white chalk on dark-board/wall. We ordered the New York (Pastrami) and London (Roast Beef). Both were good, I enjoyed the Pastrami more than the roast beef. There are bar height chairs to enjoy your sandwich inside. Street parking is hard to find.
