I honestly cannot recommend Carl enough. I had my L’s for six years, was too nervous to do the government test and was worried that even if I passed, I still would only ever feel comfortable driving with my husband in the car. Carl completely changed that for me. From our very first lesson, he made everything feel calm, clear, and achievable. He didn’t just tell me what to do, he helped me understand why certain skills and habits are important, which made everything click in a way it never had before. That deeper understanding is what finally gave me the confidence and freedom to finally drive on my own. Carl is incredibly knowledgeable, but he’s also so easygoing, funny, and genuinely enjoyable to spend time with. Every lesson felt relaxed, supportive, and tailored to exactly what I needed. Thanks to him, I now feel like a capable and confident driver; something I never thought I’d say. I cannot recommend Carl high enough! With short notice Carl helped me get my competency training done within a few weeks. He is patient, and has a very good understanding of teaching the why of road rules not just the how so learners can apply this knowledge to feel safe when independently driving. Sessions were well timed and Carl not only teaches competency but finds the weaknesses of learners and focuses on those. The personal tailoring of these lessons made an immense difference over these few weeks. Carl is great to talk to and communicates to learners in a kind and informative way. Whether doing a one off test assessment or your competency training I would highly highly recommend booking with Carl, he’s great!

I just passed my P’s and I honestly couldn’t have done it without Carl! From day one, he was patient, supportive, and incredibly encouraging. Carl is a highly professional and experienced driving instructor. As an overseas licence holder, I initially planned to prepare for the one-off driving test. However, after the transfer policy changed, Carl advised me to switch to the logbook method, which turned out to be a much better option for me. Throughout my lessons, he was always patient, calm, and encouraging, making the whole learning process enjoyable. With his clear guidance and support, I successfully obtained my provisional licence today and feel much more confident behind the wheel. I would strongly recommend Carl to anyone looking for a reliable and supportive instructor.
