I currently carry a wash package with Carriage. (Special wash) I usually don’t ask the attendant to spray my car first; I’m told they would usually do it without asking because it’s apart of the service. I’ve assessed it all depends on who’s working that day. (Hit or miss) In this particular event it just snowed the day before, i asked if they could spray my car beforehand. They responded, “ it’s extra”. I asked, “how much extra?”, and pulled out my wallet the young guy told me then to not “worry about it.” Excuse me then why bring it up?? I’m already paying $35.99/month, I didn’t know I needed to tip additionally for a service I’m paying monthly for. I’ll be finding a new car wash.
The automated system they use for processing orders is very annoying. It always wants to sell these expensive upgrades that are very overpriced. They also want to push you to subscribe to a monthly membership deal. On my most recent visit, the touch screen interface was so insensitive that I thought it was deliberately calibrated to fail to register touches on the "no" button, and I had to try repeatedly and press very firmly in order to get past that point and complete my order. The hard sell is really turning me off. The owner's response says that the order system asks you "one" time if you want any upgrades, but that's not true. It always asks you if you want to join as a monthly subscriber: that's one upsell. Then it asks you several times throughout the ordering process if you want to upgrade. First it asks if you want a Basic wash or a higher tier. Then it asks you if you want to add any additional extras to the Basic wash. This is an a la carte way to select one or more features offered in the higher tier bundles: upsell #2. I'm pretty sure it asks one more time after that, because after all you might not be sure when you said "no" the other two times. If you do go for the extras they cost so much it'd actually be worthwhile to go with the subscription for unlimited washes, assuming you got your car washed weekly. But what really aggravated me and prompted me to write a below-average review was when the touch screen wasn't registering my input at all when I tried to decline the subscription membership and the upgrades. Something must have happened recently to the touch screens, because I tapped repeatedly on the "No" button and it wouldn't take it. It's never been like that before. So I actually had to back out of my lane and try to get into the other lane next to it, and try to order up my wash there. And that screen, too, was apparently set to the lowest sensitivity level, too, because I had to press extra hard, and try multiple times before it took my input. There wasn't even any "call button" (that I could see) to summon help, which if there had been, that would have helped. I can't believe there wasn't one. But maybe it was just too hard to see due to the display being choked with signage to sell the upgraded services and membership. It'd be nice if they had a streamlined option that you could select a Basic wash, and then pay, in as few steps as possible. Oh, and I almost forgot, they recently started to charge a "convenience fee" of $0.40 if you want to pay with a credit card. More nickel & dime BS. I don't hate this business, I've been patronizing them for probably 25 years. The wash itself is decent. But being stuck on the ordering screen and unable to proceed did get me angry; they should check their screen calibration and make sure they are set properly.
Pretty new customer and when we purchased our membership the owner helped us and he was great. Very helpful and nice. He gave us pointers on helping remove some spots from my fender walls. Only issue was that the wash doesn’t get my drivers mirror for some reason
Horrible car wash…I purchased a Special Wash and there was dirt still on my car. Lots of patches missed and it was definitely either not what I purchased or not worth my time. Edges of the windows were dirty, back of the car especially had places that were untouched by water. It was the equivalent of dumping a bucket of water on the back of the car…missed spots and all.
Love this place considering how close it is to my house so I have unlimited passes for both of my cars. I mainly go there with my Toyota Camry, but I took my Nissan Pathfinder there today and the backside looks like it just got sprayed with a hose, I think the wash struggles with larger vehicles.
