I took this tour through Viator and the Casco Bay Customs Charter. It was relaxing and beautiful. I got to see the Spring Point Ledge Light which is a sparkplug lighthouse in South Portland, Maine, and marks a dangerous obstruction on the west side of the main shipping channel into Portland Harbor. I could also see the Portland Headlight fropm a distance. And, along the way I saw the smallest working lighthouse which is part of a Portland residence. I was able to get some amazing pictures. If you are in Portland, Maine, take the tour, it is money well spent
I JUST REALIZED I NEVER LEFT A GOOGLE REVIEW FOR THE BEST TOUR OF MY LIFE! We took a (chilly) sightseeing tour on a VINTAGE LOBSTER BOAT in Portland, Maine! Nobody else signed up, so it was just my husband and I on the boat. We are SO GRATEFUL they still took us out because we already had one boat cruise cancel on us a few days prior due to not having enough folks sign up. We saw two seals and THREE BALD EAGLES on our 2-hour trip + 4 lighthouses. We didn't think our trip could get any better and then it DID! The tour guide was soooo kind and friendly and knowledgable and told us all about Portland. Bald eagles are pretty rare in our area of Texas. The tour guide had told us about the bald eagles and we were hoping to see one of them. We ended up seeing THREE and even witnessed one of them snatching a fish. I took my camera and zoom lens and I was SO GLAD I DID! I definitely recommend bringing your camera if you are a nerd like me and love taking shots of everything. It was my first time seeing a seal! We would, hands down, do this tour again in a heartbeat. I just cannot get over it! We would probably go during a different time of year if we can (we're Texans and not used to the cold, hahaha) but outside of that, it was PERFECT. It could not have been better! GO, GO, GO!
I booked the Lighthouse Tour for my husband’s 70th birthday. There were nine of us and we all agreed it was a fabulous experience. We are all native Mainers, but to see the sights on Casco Bay from the water for amazing. The Captain and crew mate were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We will definitely do this again and highly recommend
I booked a tour as a gift for Mother’s Day, this was our first time in Casco Bay Custom Charters and it was amazing. The crew were phenomenal, the food and drinks were fantastic (and local!) and they really do make sure you have the best time with them. Today is a memory that my family will cherish forever. If you’re looking for something true “Maine” to experience this is what you’re looking for!
Amazing time. My family and I stayed outside Portland for the second leg of our Maine vacation. We booked the private sunset cruise with private chef. This was a surprise for our mom. It was definitely a highlight on our trip. We had excellent weather. The captain did a great job of navigating us around the bay (no sea sickness) our hostess did a wonderful iob of answering our questions and educating us on this beautiful area. Hands down though to our chef who did an amazing job in such a tiny space of preparing the most delicious food. If you are having any doubts about this cruise (or I'd imagine any of their cruises) DON'T !!! Our family had an amazing time and if ever in the area wouldn't hesitate to book again. It was our second to last night on vacation and the PERFECT ending to a memorable trip !!! We went mid July, just late posting review.
