Wow such an amazing experience! I have only been on two other escape rooms but this one definitely out competes them. The puzzles were fun and engaging and didn't feel nonsensical. It was super emersive with some good roleplay parts sprinkled in which made the whole experience that much better highly recommend! the staff was super nice and talkative and you can tell they like what they do. I forgot the person name that showed us around but he was super friendly.
Highly recommend this escape room! We completed the Radio to Nowhere room and had a great time. It was one of the most interactive and thematic rooms I’ve done. With a 90-minute time limit, you don’t feel rushed to finish as quickly as possible. Our host, Ronan, was excellent at setting up the story and staying engaging throughout. It’s clear how much passion and energy went into this place. Looking forward to coming back one day 🙂
Myself, my wife, and my 14 and 11 year old daughters went to Case closed because we'd heard such good things on various escape room review websites. We were not disappointed. They were so welcoming, we hit traffic and turned up late but they were so chilled about it and as we'd booked two different escape rooms over two days they advised us to do the murder of Max Sinclair first then the Radio Nowhere. It isn't exactly like other escape rooms, the design is fantastic and follows a story, with every element faithful to that story. Lots of cool multi format challenges and things to do (like forensics) and reasoning. This is how I imagined escape rooms would be when I first did them. Our personal favourite was Radio Nowhere, we had two members of the team struggling to find things to say on the radio while the other two members solved the mystery. The comment from my eldest daughter was "that was the best escape room I've ever done" (and we have done a lot of escape rooms). This is clearly a passion project for the owners/designers and it really shows and makes it so enjoyable. Tip: have your detective or DJ names ready when you arrive!
My friend and I completed The Murder of Max Sinclair room last night and we had the time of our lives. We’ve done a lot of escape rooms together across the world and this one ranks top three for sure. The room is more story-based rather than traditional escape room puzzles and that made it really fun and unique. We felt like we were in a live show; the interactive nature of the game was super cool. We found out our game master designed the game himself and he was really nice and enthusiastic about all elements, which led to fun discussions before and after. A really great experience all around.
We had a lovely time playing the Max Sinclair escape room! The scenario wasn’t cliche, you really had the feeling that you were solving a crime more than solving puzzles. It was incredibly intuitive and interactive to our utmost enjoyment! Oran welcomed us and quickly passed their enthusiasm onto us, guiding us through the investigation skilfully! (Whilst accommodating our needs, even putting transcriptions in French so that we could understand everything!) The cafe/boardgame room in itself was very cozy and seemed to offer a large variety of different games. 100% recommend to visit, we’ll definitely come by again if we’re near Edinburgh. You can go there with your eyes closed, you won’t be disappointed!
