I purchased tickets one week in advance for adults and 3 children to celebrate my two-year-old twins’ birthday, after the website stated that buying tickets ahead of time would help avoid long lines. After finally finding the entrance, we were surprised to learn that there is no separate or expedited line for pre-purchased tickets. We were required to wait in the same regular line, making the advance purchase pointless. The biggest issue, however, was discovering only at the entrance that strollers are not allowed inside the museum. We arrived with a triple stroller, including two-year-old twins and a three-year-old autistic child. It was completely unrealistic and unsafe for us to allow three toddlers to run freely inside the museum without a stroller. We explained our situation calmly and clearly to the staff, but there was zero consideration or flexibility. This rule was presented as a strict condition for entry. When we asked for a refund of $96, the museum refused. We left deeply disappointed. What was supposed to be a joyful birthday outing ended with crying and frustrated children. At the very least, the museum must clearly and prominently state on its website that strollers are not allowed, so families with multiple young children or children with special needs are not misled. This experience showed a complete lack of sensitivity and transparency toward families. Very disappointing.
We’re visiting from the UK and thought this place was incredible. From our experience of having a 5 and 2yr old, it’s rare to find somewhere so inspiring for kids that genuinely keeps them engaged for a long period of time. Every kids soft play could learn something from this place, my wife and I thought the different activities were really creative and well thought through, and delivered to a very high quality. Great work to those involved in creating and running the museum!
Loved this place! Fun and interactive for the kiddos! Parking is a little confusing, and I would recommend buying your tickets in advance. They have a lovely little area for breastfeeding/pumping. There’s a little area for babies/toddlers which I loved! I just carried my own sanitizing wipes for my kids 😅
This place is perfect for kids to enjoy some interactive playtime. I went with my niece and nephew for a birthday party, and they had a blast! There’s plenty to keep them engaged and entertained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Bonus points for the convenient parking structure in the outdoor mall, it made getting in and out super easy.
We had a great time at a birthday party at the Cayton Children’s Museum! This place is full of fun, hands-on exhibits and creative play areas that kept the kids entertained for hours on end. There’s enough to see and do, and everything is designed to be both engaging and educational! It’s super convenient, located right inside a shopping center, so there’s plenty of safe parking, plus restaurants and shops nearby to continue your day of fun. The staff were great, so patient and helpful! They went out of their way to help us find my daughter’s phone after she accidentally left it in the bathroom. Talk about great service! The museum itself is really clean, modern, and beautifully decorated. The bright colors and thoughtful design create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for both kids and adults alike. I recommend this place for families, parties, or just a lovely day out with little ones. We’re giving it 5 stars for sure!
